Soul Master Full ENE Build: Maximum Magic Damage in MU Online
Complete Full Energy build guide for Soul Master and Grand Master: stat distribution, equipment, farm spots, and Master Level priorities for maximum magic damage.
What is the Full ENE Build for Dark Wizard
The Full Energy (Full ENE) build for the Dark Wizard — and its evolutions Soul Master and Grand Master — is the definitive choice for players who want to extract maximum magic damage in MU Online S6. The entire philosophy of this build revolves around one simple principle: the more ENE, the higher the damage of all magic skills, the larger the Mana pool, and the stronger the effect of buffs like Soul Barrier.
This is not a build for beginners. The physical fragility of the Full ENE Grand Master requires knowledge of farm spots, good equipment, and in many cases, support from a High Elf for the Defense buff. In return, no other class reaches the same level of area damage in PvM.
Stat Distribution by Level Range
The table below shows the recommended allocation at each stage of progression. Each level grants 5 stat points to distribute.
Level 1 to 150 — Base as Dark Wizard
STR: minimum to equip current staff (typically 20–40)
AGI: 100 fixed points
VIT: 50–80 points (enough to survive Dungeon/Lost Tower)
ENE: all remaining points
At this stage, the goal is to keep ENE as high as possible while still being able to equip progressively stronger staves. Prioritize the Legendary Staff as soon as you reach level 100 (requires 30 STR).
Level 150 to 300 — Soul Master
STR: 50 (equipment only)
AGI: 100–120
VIT: 80–100
ENE: everything else (target: ~400 ENE in this phase)
With the 2nd Quest completed and the Soul Master class active, you gain access to Chain Lightning and Inferno. Chain Lightning scales strongly with ENE and is your main farming skill in this window.
> [!TIP] > Complete the 2nd Quest as soon as you reach level 220. The requirement is: level 220, 1st Quest already completed, and delivering the required items to NPC Leo the Helper in Devias. The change to Soul Master has no item cost.
Level 300 to 400 — Pre-Grand Master
STR: 50–60
AGI: 120–150
VIT: 100–120
ENE: ~600–700 (target to enter the 3rd Quest with strength)
At this stage you should already be farming in Atlans 3 or Tarkan with a group. Inferno in area with 600+ ENE rapidly eliminates groups of Lizard Warriors and Thunder Birds.
Level 400+ — Grand Master (Definitive Build)
STR: 60
AGI: 150
VIT: 120
ENE: all remaining points (target: 1,000+ ENE before Master Level)
From here on, every reset or Master Level point invests exclusively in ENE. With 1,000 ENE, Ice Storm and Nova damage reaches endgame tier.
> [!WARNING] > Never exceed 60 STR or 150 AGI after reaching Grand Master. Every wasted point outside ENE is a direct damage loss. If your server offers bonus points per reset, direct 100% of them to ENE.
Recommended Equipment by Phase
Early Phase (level 1–100)
- Staff: Skull Staff → Serpent Staff → Thunder Staff
- Armor: Bronze Armor Set +0 to +5 (easy to obtain in Lorencia/Noria)
- Jewels: Save Jewels of Soul to upgrade your main staff
Mid Phase (level 100–300)
- Staff: Legendary Staff +9 to +11 — best cost-benefit for Soul Master. Requires only 30 STR. Aim for at least +9 with a Skill option (+ skill damage).
- Armor: Legendary Set or Sphinx Set — both have ENE bonuses and are acceptable until level 300.
- Pendant: Pendant of Ability (+ENE) or Pendant of Wind (+AGI) — prefer Ability.
- Ring: Ring of Magic (+ENE) in both slots if possible.
Advanced Phase (level 300–400+, Grand Master)
- Staff: Staff of Destruction +11 to +13 (requires ~100 STR — adjust temporarily if needed). This is the Grand Master's endgame staff. With the Add Wizard Dmg +28 and Skill options, Nova and Ice Storm damage becomes devastating.
- Armor: Dark Soul Set +9 to +11 with HP or Mana options — provides intrinsic magic damage bonuses.
- Alternative to Dark Soul: Enis Set or Gywen Set with strong options can outperform Dark Soul in specific scenarios.
- Wings: Wing of Soul (Level 2) → Wing of Eternal (Level 3)
- Pendant: Pendant of Ability +9 to +11
- Rings: 2x Ring of Magic +9 to +11
> [!TIP] > Level 3 Wings (Wing of Eternal for the Grand Master) require: Wing of Soul+9, 3x Loch's Feather, and Jewel of Creation in the Chaos Machine. Loch's Feathers only drop from Balgass when the Crywolf event FAILS. Coordinate with your guild to intentionally lose the Crywolf event when you need the feathers.
Skill Priorities and Usage
Skill Progression
Dark Wizard:
→ Ice Arrow (level 1) — basic starting attack
→ Poison (level 6) — DoT, but weak
→ Meteorite (level 9) — main farming skill until level 150
Soul Master:
→ Chain Lightning (level 150) — chain AoE, excellent in groups
→ Inferno (level 180) — fire AoE, great in Lost Tower and Tarkan
Grand Master:
→ Ice Storm (level 220) — ice AoE, best group farming skill
→ Nova (level 380) — maximum burst skill, devastating with 1,000+ ENE
How to Use Meteorite Correctly
Meteorite is your main skill in the first 150 levels. It does not have excessive Mana cost, hits a single target with high damage, and has reasonable range. With 200+ ENE, it one-shots most monsters in Dungeon 1 and 2.
Chain Lightning in Groups
Chain Lightning jumps between nearby targets. To maximize damage, position your character in the center of a monster group and fire at any target — the chain hits 3 to 5 enemies automatically. In farm parties, let your allies know you will use Chain Lightning so you don't accidentally "steal" all the kills.
> [!TIP] > Soul Barrier is a passive defensive buff of the Grand Master that absorbs damage based on your current ENE and Mana. With 1,000 ENE and full Mana, Soul Barrier absorbs a significant amount of physical damage — making the Grand Master more durable than it appears on paper.
Leveling Route by Phase
Level 1–80: Lorencia and Noria
- Lorencia: Budge Dragons (level 1–20), Hound (level 15–30) near the southern exits
- Noria: Forest Monster (level 30–50), Elf Soldier (level 50–70), Cursed Wizard (level 70–80) in the northern section
Level 80–150: Dungeon Floors 1 and 2
- Dungeon 1: Skeleton Archers and Skeleton Warriors — use Meteorite
- Dungeon 2: Dark Knight and Death Cow — denser monsters, great for EXP
- Dungeon 3 (120+): Gorgon and Skeleton King — dense spawns and good Jewel of Bless/Soul drops
Level 150–250: Lost Tower Floors 1 to 4
- Lost Tower 1–2: Cursed Wizard, Death Beam Knight — Chain Lightning excels here
- Lost Tower 3–4: Bali and Soldier — tougher monsters, significantly better XP
- Move to Lost Tower 5–6 at 200+ levels with ENE above 400
Level 250–350: Atlans and Tarkan
- Atlans 1 and 2: Lizard Warrior, Bahamut — AoE with Chain Lightning and Inferno
- Atlans 3: Lizard King — good EXP and chance of Excellent item drops
- Tarkan: Thunder Bird, Iron Rider — use Inferno in area. Prefer Tarkan 2 for denser spawns
> [!WARNING] > In Tarkan, Balgass spawns periodically. He deals massive damage and can eliminate a Full ENE Grand Master in a few hits. When the Balgass spawn warning appears, move away immediately or enter a safe zone.
Level 350–400+: Aida and Karutan
- Aida 1: Bloody Wolf, Aegis — Ice Storm clears groups easily with 700+ ENE
- Aida 2: Hounds of Aida — denser spawns, excellent EXP in a 2–3 person party
- Karutan 1 and 2: Orcus, Gollock — endgame monsters, excellent Excellent item and Jewel drops
Master Level: Where to Invest Points
After the 3rd Quest, each level grants additional Master Level points. For the Full ENE Grand Master, the priority order is:
1. Increase Max Mana — sustains Soul Barrier and continuous Nova use
2. Increase ENE (Master) — each point raises base ENE by a fixed value
3. Increase Ice Storm Dmg — direct damage to your main farming skill
4. Increase Nova Dmg — direct damage to your burst skill
5. Increase Skill Attack (%) — general percentage bonus on all skills
> [!TIP] > Do not invest Master Level points in VIT or physical defense early on. The Full ENE Grand Master depends on eliminating threats before taking damage, not absorbing it. Focus everything on ENE and skill damage until you have 200+ Master Level points.

Perguntas frequentes
Do I need STR in a Full ENE build?
In the Full ENE build, you only put the minimum STR required to equip essential items. The Legendary Staff+11 requires only 30 STR. Beyond that, every point goes into ENE to maximize damage from Meteorite, Ice Storm, and Nova.
What is the difference between Soul Master and Grand Master for this build?
Soul Master is the second class (reached at 2nd Quest, level 220+), with access to skills like Chain Lightning and Inferno. Grand Master is the third class (3rd Quest, level 400+), which unlocks the Master Level system and upgraded skills like Ice Storm and Nova with superior damage. The Full ENE build works for both, but the Grand Master has much higher damage scaling per ENE point.
Is Full ENE good for PvM?
Yes. In PvM, the Full ENE build is the most efficient option for DW/SM/GM. With Energy above 500, Meteorite one-shots most mid-level monsters. In Aida and Karutan, Ice Storm and Nova clear entire groups with ease.
What is the minimum AGI needed?
The recommended minimum is between 100 and 150 AGI to have acceptable defense and attack speed. Below 100 AGI, you will be very slow and vulnerable to physical attacks in PvM. In PvP, a Full ENE Grand Master dies quickly regardless, so focus on one-shotting the opponent before they can react.
