MU Online glossary: all terms and slang explained

Reset, BC, DS, exc, anc, wing, spot, bug bless... finally understand every term and slang used by the MU Online community.

The MU Online community uses lots of abbreviations and slang. If you're starting out, this glossary translates the most common terms you'll see in chat and guides.

Item terms

  • Exc / Excellent: item with special options, very valuable;
  • Anc / Ancient: old-set item with set bonus;
  • Wing: back gear that grants bonuses and flight;
  • Set: a full armor set, which gives a complete bonus;
  • +0 to +15: item refine level.

Progression terms

  • Reset: zeroing your level for bonuses;
  • Grand Reset / GR: a "high-level" reset that zeroes your resets;
  • Master Level / ML: advanced post-cap level system;
  • Spot: a farming point with many monsters.

Event terms

  • BC: Blood Castle; DS: Devil Square; CC: Chaos Castle;
  • CS: Castle Siege; Invasion: special monster invasion.

Server terms

  • Bug Bless: an old buff exploit technique;
  • No-IP: dynamic DNS for servers without a static IP;
  • MuServer: the set of programs that run the server;
  • GM: Game Master, the server administrator.
