Dark Lord Quest: Evolution and Third Quest Step-by-Step

Complete guide to the Dark Lord quests in MU Online S6: evolve to Lord Emperor with builds, items, and detailed farming spots.

The Dark Lord is one of the most unique classes in MU Online S6. Unlike the Dark Knight, Dark Wizard, and Fairy Elf, he does not perform the first or second quest — he goes directly to the third quest at level 380, which transforms him into a Lord Emperor. This guide covers every step: stat builds, farming spots, and the exact third quest procedure.

Understanding the Dark Lord

The Dark Lord has the exclusive stat CMD (Command), which exists in no other class. CMD controls:

  • The strength and level of the Horse (combat mount)
  • The strength and level of the Raven (attack familiar bird)
  • Access to specific skills such as Chaotic Diseier and Fire Burst
  • Maximum summoning capacity
Nota: The Dark Lord starts the game with the Horse and Raven already available, but they remain weak without CMD points. Each CMD point increases Raven attack by approximately 2 points and extends the Horse buff range.

The Dark Lord's stats affect the character as follows:

  • STR — physical damage with scepters and base defense
  • AGI — attack speed, additional defense, and dodge rate
  • VIT — HP (each point equals roughly 2 HP with level multipliers)
  • ENE — magic damage, Fire Burst damage, and Chaotic Diseier strength
  • CMD — Horse and Raven level, exclusive skills

Stat Build: From Level 1 to 380

Phase 1 — Level 1 to 150 (Farming in Lorencia and Noria)

Level 1-50:
→ Put all points into CMD until you reach 50 CMD
→ Then alternate: 2 CMD, 1 ENE, 1 VIT

Approximate distribution at level 150:
STR: 50 (minimum to equip starting scepters)
AGI: 30
VIT: 80
ENE: 60
CMD: 130
Dica: With 50 CMD, the Raven already deals relevant damage against Noria monsters. Use the Raven as your main DPS source while your character still has low stats — he attacks independently.

Phase 2 — Level 150 to 300 (Atlans and Lost Tower)

Level 150-300:
→ Priority: CMD and ENE in a 2:1 ratio
→ Add VIT if you die frequently

Approximate distribution at level 300:
STR: 80
AGI: 50
VIT: 150
ENE: 130
CMD: 220

Phase 3 — Level 300 to 380 (Tarkan and Icarus)

Level 300-380 (pre-quest):
→ Finalize your base before evolving

Target distribution at level 380:
STR: 100
AGI: 60
VIT: 200
ENE: 160
CMD: 260
Free points for after the third quest: ~120 (distribute into CMD/ENE after evolving)
Atenção: Do not overspend points in STR. The Dark Lord uses Scepters that already have built-in damage bonuses, and the Raven's damage does not scale with STR — it scales with CMD. STR above 120 pre-quest is wasted points.

Farming Spots by Level Range

Level 1–80: Lorencia and Noria

Recommended monsters:

  • Bull Fighter (Lorencia, central area) — fast to kill, good density
  • Hound (Lorencia, coordinates ~130,130) — zen and potion drops
  • Goblin (Noria, entrance) — ideal for levels 20-50
  • Larva and Beetle Monster (Noria, south forest) — levels 50-80

Level 80–150: Devias and Dungeon

  • Yeti (Devias, northwest, ~35,220) — good XP at levels 80-110
  • Assassin (Devias, east area) — levels 100-130
  • Skeleton Warrior (Dungeon Floor 1, entrance) — levels 110-150
  • Death Cow (Dungeon Floor 2) — levels 130-150, good item drops
Dica: In Dungeon Floor 2, use Fire Burst (requires 100 ENE) to pull groups of Death Cows. The Raven finishes enemies while you are already attacking the next group.

Level 150–250: Atlans

  • Lizard Warrior (Atlans 1, coordinates ~135,50) — main spot for levels 150-200
  • Spider (Atlans 1) — appears in groups, good for using Chaotic Diseier in AoE
  • Lizard King (Atlans 2) — levels 200-250, drops Tridents and Atlans gear
Farming route in Atlans 1 (levels 150-200):
→ Enter Atlans (teleport from Devias)
→ Walk to coordinates ~135,50
→ Pull Lizard Warriors with the Raven
→ Use Chaotic Diseier on the gathered group
→ Repeat clockwise around the map

Level 250–380: Lost Tower, Tarkan, and Icarus

  • Poison Bull Fighter (Lost Tower 4, east corridor) — levels 250-300
  • Death Knight (Lost Tower 5) — levels 280-320, drops excellent items
  • Tarkan Monster and Orc Archer (Tarkan, coordinates ~120,80) — levels 320-360
  • Sapi Queen (Icarus, central platforms) — levels 360-380
Nota: In Tarkan, Iron Riders (mounted knights) spawn in groups of 3-5. The Dark Lord excels here because the Raven ignores Iron Rider physical armor and Chaotic Diseier hits multiple targets simultaneously.

Level 1–150

  • Scepter of Antler or Crystalized Sword — affordable starting options
  • Armor from the Leather Set or Bronze Set at +4/+5
  • Shield: Small Shield or Skull Shield with +def

Level 150–380

  • Scepter of Darkness (recommended) — good balance of damage and stat requirements
  • Thunder Scepter if you have high ENE (150+)
  • Scale Set or Plate Set at at least +7 with Life option
  • Cape of Lord (wing equivalent for Dark Lord) — equip as soon as possible
Dica: The Cape of Lord is the Dark Lord's wing slot item. It is not crafted like normal Wings — it is dropped by high-level monsters or created in the Chaos Machine with server-specific materials. Check drop tables for Tarkan and Icarus.

The Third Quest: Step-by-Step

The third quest transforms the Dark Lord into a Lord Emperor. Unlike other classes, the Dark Lord skips the first and second quests entirely.

Requirement: Level 380 Dark Lord character.

Step 1 — Gather the Required Items

Before visiting the NPC, collect the following:

Mandatory items for the Dark Lord's third quest:
→ 1x Crest of Monarch (quest item, random drop from Lorencia+ monsters)
→ Enough Zen (amount varies by server, typically 10,000,000 zen)
→ Character at level 380 or above
Nota: The Crest of Monarch is a quest item that can drop from monsters in any map starting from Lorencia. It appears as a golden crest in your inventory. Some players accumulate it without noticing — check your inventory before spending time farming for it.

Step 2 — Locate the Guardsman NPC

The Dark Lord's third quest NPC is the Guardsman, located in Lorencia.

Guardsman location:
→ Map: Lorencia
→ Approximate coordinates: 120, 135 (near the north entrance of the city)
→ He appears as a guard in dark blue armor

Step 3 — Start the Quest Dialogue

Interaction sequence with the Guardsman:
→ Right-click on the Guardsman
→ Select the Quest / Mission option
→ He will verify that you have level 380 and the Crest of Monarch
→ Confirm the delivery of the Crest of Monarch
→ Pay the required zen
→ Accept the transformation
Atenção: The transformation is irreversible. Once confirmed, the character permanently becomes Lord Emperor. Make sure your stat build is correct before confirming — you cannot revert to Dark Lord.

Step 4 — Confirm the Evolution

After confirming:

What changes when you become Lord Emperor:
→ Character title changes to "Lord Emperor"
→ New skills unlocked: Tornado and Chaotic Diseier upgrades
→ Raven capacity increases significantly
→ Access to Lord Emperor exclusive equipment
→ Expanded skill slots in the skill panel

Post-Evolution Build: Lord Emperor (Level 380–400)

After becoming Lord Emperor, distribute the freed points as follows:

Full CMD Build (PvM and support):
STR: 100
AGI: 60
VIT: 200
ENE: 160
CMD: as high as possible with remaining points

Hybrid CMD+ENE Build (balanced PvP):
STR: 120
AGI: 80
VIT: 180
ENE: 200
CMD: 220+
Dica: At level 400, a typical full CMD Lord Emperor distribution is: 100 STR, 60 AGI, 220 VIT, 170 ENE, 350 CMD. The Raven with 350 CMD deals damage comparable to the character's own direct physical attack — treat it as a second DPS character.

Final Checklist

Before the quest:
[ ] Character at level 380
[ ] Crest of Monarch in inventory
[ ] Required zen available
[ ] Stat build reviewed (cannot be changed after the quest)
[ ] Cape of Lord equipped or available in inventory

After the quest:
[ ] Distribute stat points into CMD and ENE
[ ] Check newly unlocked skills
[ ] Adjust skill shortcuts in the skill panel
[ ] Continue farming in Tarkan or Icarus to reach level 400
Nota: The Lord Emperor can use upgraded Dark Raven and Dark Horse that scale to the game's maximum level. Investing in CMD early makes post-quest progression much faster, as the Raven acts as passive DPS while you use active skills.

Perguntas frequentes

Does the Dark Lord need to do the first and second quest?

No. The Dark Lord is a special class in S6 and skips directly to the third quest (level 380). He does not go through the first or second quest like DK, DW, and Elf do.

Which stat should I prioritize on the Dark Lord before the third quest?

Focus on CMD (Command) to increase the power of the Horse and Raven, and ENE for spell damage. A safe distribution up to level 380 is: 200 CMD, 150 ENE, 100 STR, with the remainder in VIT for survivability.

Where is the fastest farming spot for Dark Lord between level 150 and 300?

Atlans 1 (levels 150-220) with Lizard Warriors and Spiders, then Lost Tower floors 4-5 (levels 220-300) with Poison Bull Fighters and Death Knights. Use the Raven to pull groups.

Does the Lord Emperor get first-level wings?

No. The Dark Lord has no Wing level 1. After becoming Lord Emperor, he can directly use the Cape of Lord (equivalent to Wings L2) and in endgame the Cape of Emperor (the class Wings L3).
