The Dark Knight is one of the most popular classes in MU Online S6 — high physical damage, solid survivability, and access to the best melee weapons in the game. The evolution to Blade Knight happens in two mandatory Quest stages, each requiring specific preparation. This guide covers every step with exact locations, named monsters, and stat requirements.

Prerequisites Before You Start

Before talking to any quest NPC, confirm you have:

  • Level 150 for the 1st Quest
  • Level 220 for the 2nd Quest
  • Minimum gear to survive in Dungeon and Lost Tower (early floors)
  • Enough Zen — some servers charge a quest fee (check your server rules)
Nota: The Dark Knight does NOT need any points in ENE for these quests. Every point in ENE is pure waste for physical builds. Focus entirely on STR and AGI.

When you reach level 150 to start the 1st Quest, your distribution should be close to:

  • STR: 180–200 (physical damage and gear requirements)
  • AGI: 60–80 (attack speed and defense)
  • VIT: 40–50 (minimum survivability)
  • ENE: 0 (invest nothing here)

This allows you to equip Dragon Armor (requires STR 150+) and maintain decent attack speed with the Dragon Blade or Lightning Sword.

1st Dark Knight Quest — Path to Blade Knight (Part 1)

Step 1: Talk to Sebina the Priest

Devias → NPC Sebina the Priest (approximate coordinates: 183, 97)
→ Accept "1st Quest: Blade Knight"
→ Receive collection instructions

Sebina is located in Devias, near the northern entrance of the city. She gives the quest and lists the required items and monsters.

Atenção: Each server may have slightly different drop quantities required. The numbers below are standard for S6 — confirm on your server before heading to the field.

Step 2: Collect Items in Dungeon Floor 1

The first stage requires killing Hanzo the Chainman and collecting Scroll of Archangel (or the equivalent item configured on your server).

Location: Dungeon Floor 1

  • Hanzo concentration coordinates: 115–145 / 195–230
  • Quantity required: typically 1 Scroll of Archangel + 1 Heart of Love (drops from common Dungeon monsters)

Secondary monsters on Dungeon Floor 1 for drop farming:

  • Skeleton Warrior — frequent drops of basic items, good for warm-up
  • Skeleton Archer — watch out for ranged damage
  • Hound — faster but low HP
Lorencia → Dungeon (entrance at Lorencia 124, 129)
→ Floor 1: kill Hanzo the Chainman until the item drops
→ Keep killing common monsters for additional drops
Dica: Use the Twisting Slash skill at level 1 (low mana cost) to clear Skeleton groups. This speeds up farming without draining your resources. If not yet unlocked, use Slash for single targets.

Step 3: Collect in Lost Tower Floors 1–2

The second part of the 1st Quest typically requires an item from Lost Tower:

  • Target monsters: Dark Knight (hostile NPC inside Lost Tower 1), Poison Bull Fighter
  • Lost Tower Floor 1 coordinates: central area between 200–235 / 195–220
  • Required item: 1 Soul Shard or server-configured equivalent

Lost Tower survival tip: Lost Tower has frequent poison and negative status effects. Bring Antidote (purchased in Devias or Noria) — at least 20 units before entering.

Step 4: Turn In Items and Complete the 1st Quest

Dungeon/Lost Tower → collect all required items
→ Return to Devias
→ Talk to Sebina the Priest again
→ Turn in the items in the indicated order
→ Receive confirmation: "Quest Complete"

Completing the 1st Quest does not change your class yet — it is the prerequisite that unlocks the 2nd Quest, which actually transforms the DK into Blade Knight.

2nd Dark Knight Quest — Becoming Blade Knight

Level Requirement

You need level 220 to start the 2nd Quest. Use levels 150–220 to refine your stats:

Ideal distribution at level 220 (Full STR PvM build):

  • STR: 300
  • AGI: 100
  • VIT: 80
  • ENE: 0

Distribution at level 220 (Balanced PvP build):

  • STR: 250
  • AGI: 150
  • VIT: 70
  • ENE: 0
Nota: After becoming Blade Knight, you unlock Death Stab and can equip Wings of Satan (Level 1 Wings) combined with a Chaos Weapon to significantly amplify your damage output. Invest in STR to maximize that potential.

Step 1: Return to Sebina the Priest in Devias

Devias → Sebina the Priest (same location as before)
→ Talk to her again at level 220+
→ Accept "2nd Quest: Blade Knight"

Step 2: Kill Elite Monsters in Atlans and Tarkan

The 2nd Quest raises the difficulty significantly. Required monsters are found in Atlans and Tarkan:

Atlans — target monsters:

  • Lizard Warrior (Atlans 1, area 125–165 / 15–55) — drops scales
  • Hydra (Atlans 3, area 100–140 / 150–190) — beware AoE damage

Tarkan — target monsters:

  • Tarkan Warrior (Tarkan 1, area 185–225 / 55–95) — high HP
  • Iron Wheel (Tarkan 1 and 2, scattered across the map) — electric damage, use resistance
Lorencia → Atlans (via Noria → portal to Atlans)
→ Kill Lizard Warrior: collect required item
→ Move to Atlans 3 → kill Hydra
→ Portal to Tarkan → kill Tarkan Warrior and Iron Wheel
Dica: In Tarkan at level 220, use Combo (the DK exclusive skill combining Slash + Twisting Slash + Cyclone) to maximize DPS. Combo requires an adequate skill level — check that it is activated in your skill settings.

Step 3: Final Collection in Icarus (Server-Dependent)

Some S6 servers include a step in Icarus:

  • Monsters: Death Rider, Hell Maine
  • Location: Icarus, central area (120–165 / 60–100)
  • Warning: Icarus has very high-level monsters (250+). Go with a party or have equipment at +9 or higher.
Atenção: If your server includes the Icarus step, make sure you have at least Dragon Shield +7 and Dragon Armor +7 to survive. Monsters in Icarus deal massive damage to poorly geared characters at level 220.

Step 4: Turn In Items and Evolve to Blade Knight

Collect all 2nd Quest required items
→ Return to Devias → Sebina the Priest
→ Turn in all items in order
→ Confirmation: class changes from Dark Knight → Blade Knight
→ Unlocked skills: Death Stab, Combo (if already available)

Entering the 1st Quest (Level 150)

SlotItemMinimum Level
WeaponDragon Blade +5+5 or higher
ArmorDragon Armor Set +5full set
ShieldDragon Shield +4optional but recommended

Entering the 2nd Quest (Level 220)

SlotItemMinimum Level
WeaponChaos Dragon Axe +7 or Dark Reign Blade +7+7 with magic option
ArmorDark Soul Set +7full set, DDI or Life option
ShieldDark Shield +7with damage absorption option
Nota: The DDI (Decrease Damage from Monsters) option on items is essential for surviving high-level quest maps. Prioritize this option when buying or crafting gear for the 2nd Quest.

What to Do After Becoming Blade Knight

After the class change, focus on:

  1. Unlock Death Stab — piercing damage skill, essential for PvP
  2. Craft a Chaos Weapon — use Jewel of Chaos + high-level weapon at the Chaos Machine in Noria
  3. Get Level 1 Wings (Wings of Satan) — combine Jewel of Chaos + Lac's Feather + other materials
  4. Prepare stats for the 3rd Quest (level 400) — evolution to Blade Master requires another quest; spend the next 180 levels investing primarily in STR and VIT
Dica: After becoming Blade Knight, the most efficient leveling spot between levels 220–280 is Tarkan 1 with Combo skill active. Farm there until you have a complete Dark Soul Set +9 before advancing to Icarus or Aida.

The Dark Knight journey is one of the most rewarding in MU Online. With the correct stat progression and the right items, the Blade Knight is a dominant force in both PvM and PvP — and the foundation for the powerful Blade Master in the endgame.

Perguntas frequentes

What is the minimum level to start the Dark Knight 1st Quest?

The minimum level is 150. Below that, NPC Sebina the Priest in Devias will not accept the quest. Make sure you have at least 220 STR points to equip gear appropriate for the quest maps.

Where do Hanzo the Chainman spawn for the 1st Quest?

Hanzo the Chainman appear in Dungeon Floor 1, in the area around coordinates 115–140 / 195–225. Stay near the floor entrance to avoid getting lost. They deal moderate physical damage, so use Twisting Slash to clear groups efficiently.

What happens if I fail the 2nd Quest?

There is no permanent failure penalty. If you die or leave the map before collecting required items, simply talk to the NPC again and restart that step. Collected items may be lost depending on your server, so try to complete each step in one run.

What stats should I have when becoming Blade Knight at level 220?

For a PvM STR build at level 220: STR 300, AGI 100, VIT 80, ENE 0 (minimum required). For balanced PvP: STR 250, AGI 150, VIT 70, ENE 0. After the class change the damage multiplier increases, so do not waste points in ENE as a Dark Knight.
