The Master Level (ML) system is MU Online's advanced progression layer, activated after a character completes their reincarnation journey and reaches level 400. Instead of continuing to accumulate ordinary attribute points, the player begins earning Master Points that are applied to class-exclusive skill trees, dramatically amplifying character power beyond what the base level cap allows.

Prerequisites: The Road to Master Level

Before a single Master point is earned, the character must fulfill a strict sequence of requirements. Class progression in S6 follows this structure:

Dark Knight → (L150, Quest 1) → Blade Knight → (L220, Quest 2) → Blade Master
Dark Wizard → (L150, Quest 1) → Soul Master → (L220, Quest 2) → Grand Master
Fairy Elf → (L150, Quest 1) → Muse Elf → (L220, Quest 2) → High Elf
Magic Glad. → (no Quest 1/2) → Duel Master (direct, no intermediate form)
Dark Lord → (L150, Quest 1) → Lord Emperor (uses exclusive CMD stat)
Summoner → (L150, Quest 1) → Bloody Summ. → (L220, Quest 2) → Dimension Master
Atenção: The Magic Gladiator has no 1st or 2nd Quest and also no access to Level 1 Wings. It advances directly to Duel Master without an intermediate reincarnation. The Dark Lord uses the exclusive CMD (Command) attribute to control creatures and boost group bonuses — a mechanic unique to this class.

After completing the 3rd Quest (reincarnation to the final form), the character must reach level 400 within that reincarnated form. Only then does the EXP bar switch from accumulating common EXP to accumulating Master EXP.

How Master Point Distribution Works

Each Master level earned grants exactly 1 Master Point. The cap is ML400 — 400 points in total. Each class's Master skill tree is divided into skill groups, and each individual skill has a maximum investment cap (typically between 10 and 20 points per skill).

Unlock logic follows a strict hierarchical progression:

Group 1 (available from ML1)
  └─ Skill A: max 10 pts → Unlocks Skill B
       └─ Skill B: max 20 pts → Unlocks Skill C
            └─ Skill C: max 10 pts
Nota: Investing points in early-group skills is mandatory to unlock the most powerful skills in the later groups. Planning the entire tree layout before distributing any points is critical to avoid wasted progression that costs hours of grinding to recover.

Master EXP Rate

Master EXP is earned the same way as common EXP — by killing monsters, completing events and Blood Castles — but the amount required per Master level is generally far lower than the EXP needed to gain a regular level at 400. This makes the first 100 Master levels relatively fast, while levels above ML300 demand intense grinding in high-level maps such as Kalima, Deep Dungeon, or Tarkan.

Skill Trees by Class

Skill trees differ entirely between classes. The table below summarizes the general benefit categories each class finds in their Master tree:

Final ClassMaster Tree Primary Focus
Blade MasterPhysical damage, attack speed, defense and HP
Grand MasterMagic damage, cooldown reduction and magical shields
High ElfMulti-shot, group buffs, healing and speed
Duel MasterHybrid damage (physical+magic), speed and criticals
Lord EmperorCMD, group auras, creature summoning and resistances
Dimension MasterSpell damage, curses and support abilities

Blade Master (evolved Dark Knight)

The Blade Master invests their tree across three pillars: damage increase, attack speed and survivability. Skills such as Increase Attack Speed, Increase Maximum HP and Increase PvP Defense Rate are priorities for competitive PvP builds, while Increase Damage and Increase Critical Damage Rate dominate PvM-focused builds.

Relevant Ancient sets for Blade Master include: Hyon (Dragon), Kantata (Scale), Ceto (Great Dragon) and Aruan (Thunder Hawk) — each with specific set bonuses that interact with Master progression.

Grand Master (evolved Dark Wizard)

The Grand Master tree prioritizes magical power and mana efficiency. Skills such as Increase Wizardry Damage, Increase Mana, Increase Maximum SD and Increase Defense make the Grand Master a long-range damage powerhouse. Sets like Sebone (Bone), Eplate (Energy Plate) and Heras (Ashcrow) pair well with SD and mana Master investments.

High Elf (evolved Fairy Elf)

The High Elf has the most versatile tree: she can specialize in bow damage, group support or a combination of both. Support buff skills like Increase Recovery Speed and Increase Maximum HP/Mana benefit every party member. Relevant Ancient sets include Gywen (Bow), Agnis (Legendary), Drake (Dark Steel) and Sylion (Sunlight).

Dica: Support-focused High Elfs should prioritize buff skills before investing in damage. In group dungeons, a High Elf with a support-oriented Master tree can increase the entire party's damage output and survivability by over 30%.

Duel Master (evolved Magic Gladiator)

The Duel Master has a unique tree that reflects the class's hybrid nature. It accumulates bonuses in physical damage, magic damage and speed, but without the depth of specialization found in other classes. The Chrono (Divine) Ancient set is the dedicated set for Magic Gladiator/Duel Master characters.

Lord Emperor (evolved Dark Lord)

The Lord Emperor tree is oriented around leadership and group buffing. The CMD stat directly influences how many creatures the character can control and the potency of group auras. Anubis and Enis (Red Spirit) are the Ancient sets for this class. Skills like Increase Command and Increase Maximum HP are foundational investments.

Dimension Master (evolved Summoner)

The Dimension Master focuses on curses, ranged damage and debuffs. The Master tree expands the damage of skills like Decay and Chain Lightning. The Ancient sets Gaia (Dark Soul) and Broy (Venom Mist) are available for the Summoner class.

Jewels in the Master Level Context

Master Level progression itself does not require specific Jewels to gain levels, but equipment optimization continues to depend on MU's Jewel system:

JewelPrimary Function
BlessSafely increases an item's level (+1 to +6 guaranteed)
SoulIncreases an item's level with a chance of destruction
LifeAdds an extra option (luck, skill, additional option)
ChaosCombines items in the Chaos Machine
CreationSummons monsters or used in special combinations
GuardianProtects an item from breaking during combination
HarmonyAdds Harmony options (damage, defense, etc.)
Atenção: In MU Online S6, there is no Flame of Condor. Level 380 items and Level 3 Wings use other crafting materials specific to this version. Always verify what your particular server supports before attempting any Chaos Machine combination.

The efficiency of Master progression depends directly on where you farm EXP. General recommendations for S6 servers are:

  1. ML1–50: Grind in Tarkan or Aida targeting high-HP, high-EXP monsters. Prioritize Master skills that immediately amplify your damage output.
  2. ML51–150: Group parties in Kalima 6 or deep Dungeon floors. Survivability skills begin to matter in this range as mob density and damage increase.
  3. ML151–300: Elite maps such as La Cleon or maximum-level Blood Castle events. Optimize equipment with Harmony Jewels to maximize damage output per run.
  4. ML301–400: Intensive grinding with an organized party. Only the highest EXP-per-kill monsters justify the time investment at this range.
Dica: Regularly participating in events like Blood Castle, Devil Square and Chaos Castle is one of the most efficient ways to accumulate Master EXP at intermediate levels, especially on servers that offer EXP bonuses for event completion.

The Master Level system is what separates ordinary characters from true veterans in MU Online. With proper skill tree planning and consistent grinding, your character will reach a tier of power that is entirely out of reach at the base level cap — ready to tackle the most challenging content the game has to offer.

Perguntas frequentes

What is the maximum Master Level in MU Online S6?

The maximum is ML400, meaning 400 Master points distributed across your class skill tree. Each Master level gained awards exactly 1 point to spend.

Do I need to complete the reincarnation quests before accessing Master Level?

Yes. You must complete the 3rd Quest (reincarnation to your final form: Blade Master, Grand Master, High Elf, Duel Master, Lord Emperor or Dimension Master) before Master EXP begins to accumulate.

Do MG and DL follow the same quest rules for Master Level?

The Magic Gladiator has no 1st or 2nd Quest and no access to Level 1 Wings — it advances directly to Duel Master. The Dark Lord uses the exclusive CMD (Command) stat and advances normally to Lord Emperor.

Can Master points be redistributed once spent?

It depends on the server configuration. Some servers implement a Master Reset feature allowing redistribution in exchange for specific items or zen. Check your server's rules before investing.
