Dark Wizard Master Level Guide: Complete Mastery Tree

Full Grand Master mastery tree guide for S6: point allocation, best skills to unlock, and farm spots for every ML range.

VI ViciadosMU Team · Updated on 3 jul 2026 · ⏱ 12 min read

The Grand Master is the final evolution of the Dark Wizard in Season 6 and stands as one of the highest magic damage dealers in the game. The Grand Master mastery tree splits into three main branches — each amplifying damage output, survivability, or passive support. This guide covers how to allocate every mastery point for maximum effectiveness, which spots to farm at each ML range, and what gear to use during the progression.

Prerequisites: Reaching Master Level

Before unlocking the mastery tree, the Dark Wizard must complete the full class evolution chain:

Level 1–150 → Dark Wizard (farm Lorencia, Noria, Dungeon)
Level 150–220 → Soul Master after 1st Quest (farm Atlans, Lost Tower)
Level 220–400 → Grand Master after 3rd Quest (farm Tarkan, Aida, Karutan)
Level 400+ → Master Level unlocked
Nota: The 3rd Quest requires killing Kundun in Kalima 6 (or 7, depending on server settings) and delivering the quest item to NPC Priest Devin. Without completing this step, the mastery tree remains locked regardless of your character level.

Recommended stat allocation at level 400 (Full ENE Grand Master build):

  • STR: 100 (minimum to equip tier staves and armor sets)
  • AGI: 200 (acceptable defense and attack speed)
  • VIT: 200 (baseline survivability in ML farm spots)
  • ENE: all remaining points (~3,500+ at level 400 with resets)
Atenção: Do not invest excess points in STR. Grand Master damage is entirely ENE-based — every STR point above equipment minimums is a direct loss of magic damage output.

The Grand Master Mastery Tree

The tree has three branches: Combat, Defense, and Special Skills. You earn 1 mastery point per ML level.

Branch 1 — Combat (Damage and Offensive Skills)

This is the priority branch for Full ENE builds aimed at both PvM and PvP.

SkillEffect per LevelMax LevelsPriority
Increase Minimum Magic Damage+10 minimum magic dmg10High
Increase Maximum Magic Damage+15 maximum magic dmg10High
Increase Magic Attack Speed+2 attack speed10Medium
Enhance Lightning+5% Lightning damage20Very High
Enhance Ice Storm+5% Ice Storm damage20High (PvM)
Enhance Inferno+5% Inferno damage10Medium (PvP)

Recommended investment order (ML 1–100):

ML 1–20 → Increase Minimum Magic Damage (max)
ML 21–40 → Increase Maximum Magic Damage (max)
ML 41–80 → Enhance Lightning (20 levels, max)
ML 81–100 → Enhance Ice Storm (first 20 points)
Dica: Lightning is the Grand Master's most efficient PvM skill due to its area range and moderate mana cost. Max Enhance Lightning before any other specialized damage skill.

Branch 2 — Defense (Survivability and Soul Barrier)

Essential for any Grand Master planning to farm high-ML maps without an Elf buffer in party.

SkillEffect per LevelMax LevelsPriority
Increase Maximum HP+50 HP10Very High
Increase Maximum Mana+50 Mana10High
Soul Barrier Strengthen+3% damage reduction via Soul Barrier10Very High
Increase Defense+15 defense10Medium
Increase Defense Rate+10 dodge rate10Low

Recommended investment order (ML 100–160):

ML 100–110 → Increase Maximum HP (max)
ML 111–120 → Increase Maximum Mana (max)
ML 121–130 → Soul Barrier Strengthen (max)
ML 131–140 → Increase Defense (max)
ML 141–160 → Enhance Ice Storm (complete remaining 20 levels)
Nota: Soul Barrier at max mastery level adds 30% additional damage reduction stacked on top of the skill's base effect. In Vulcanus and Acheron, this reduction is critical for autonomous farming without constant Heal support.

Branch 3 — Special Skills

This branch contains passive bonuses and support enhancements that complement the build in the later ML stages.

SkillEffect per LevelMax LevelsPriority
Teleport Strengthen+10% Teleport speed5Low
Energy Ball Strengthen+8% Energy Ball damage10Low
Increase Recovery Rate HP+2% HP regen5Medium
Increase Recovery Rate Mana+2% Mana regen5Medium
Increase Critical Damage Rate+2% critical hit chance10High (PvP)
Increase Excellent Damage Rate+2% excellent hit chance10High (PvM)

Recommended investment order (ML 160–220):

ML 160–170 → Increase Critical Damage Rate (max, PvP focus)
ML 171–180 → Increase Excellent Damage Rate (max, PvM focus)
ML 181–185 → Increase Recovery Rate HP (max)
ML 186–190 → Increase Recovery Rate Mana (max)
ML 191–220 → Remaining points into Energy Ball / Teleport Strengthen

Farm Spots by ML Range

ML 1–50: Karutan 1 and Aida 1

Karutan 1 (central coordinates: 130, 130) is the best entry-level farm spot for newly promoted Grand Masters. Condra and Narcondra monsters have moderate HP and high spawn density.

  • Target monsters: Condra (level 100), Narcondra (level 110), Venomfield (level 105)
  • Use Lightning in area + Ice Storm for crowd control
  • Minimum gear: Staff of Destruction +9 or Crystal Staff +11, Gywen set +7

Aida 1 (central coordinates: 120, 100) is an alternative with better Jewels of Bless and Soul drop rates.

Dica: In Karutan, position yourself in the northeast corner of the map (coordinates 50, 50 to 80, 80) where Condra density is highest. Keep Soul Barrier active at all times and use Teleport to escape large monster groups.

ML 50–150: Vulcanus and Acheron

From ML 50 with the combat branch partially invested, Vulcanus becomes viable for Grand Masters.

Vulcanus — Target monsters:

  • Scorpion (level 115): drops Jewel of Creation and Ancient Items
  • Death Rider (level 118): drops +opt items
  • Fire Rider (level 120): frequent Ancient set drops

Recommended gear for Vulcanus:

  • Weapon: Staff of Destruction +11+luck+opt or Rune Blade +11 (for hybrid DW variant)
  • Armor: Full Gywen Ancient set +9 (set bonus: +ENE, +HP, +Defense Rate)
  • Wings: Wing of Eternal (Level 3 Wings, mandatory for ML 100+)
Atenção: Without the Wing of Eternal (Level 3 Wings), your damage in Vulcanus will be insufficient to kill mobs quickly. The Wing L3 magic damage bonus is irreplaceable in endgame. Reminder: Wing L3 is crafted from Wing L2 + 3x Loch's Feather + Jewel of Creation in the Chaos Machine.

Acheron — Target monsters (available from ML 100+):

  • Lich Lord (level 125): high HP, drops Excellent items and Jewels of Harmony
  • Iron Wheel (level 122): dense spawn, ideal for area farming with Lightning

ML 150–200: Kalima 6 and 7 with Party

From ML 150, the Full ENE Grand Master with complete gear can contribute significantly in party play at Kalima 6 and 7.

Ideal party for Kalima 6-7:
→ 1x Grand Master (area damage: Lightning / Ice Storm)
→ 1x High Elf (Greater Fortitude buff + Heal)
→ 1x Blade Master (tank, monster aggro)
→ 1x Lord Emperor (support and additional damage)

Kalima 7 monsters:

  • Death Angel (level 135): drops Jewels of Harmony and rare Ancient Items
  • Balram (level 130): high XP, spawns in clusters
Nota: In Kalima 7, the party XP bonus with 4 members can reach +30% per member. To maximize ML gain speed, always seek a full party in this map.

Endgame Equipment for Grand Master

Item priority by slot:

Weapon:

  1. Staff of Destruction +13+luck+opt (absolute best option)
  2. Platina Staff +12+luck+opt (more accessible alternative)
  3. Double Blade +13+luck+opt (for the hybrid melee variant)

Armor (full set):

  • Priority 1: Gywen Ancient set — set bonus: +ENE, +HP, +Defense Rate
  • Priority 2: Iris Ancient set — set bonus: +Magic Damage, +Speed
  • All pieces should be +9 or higher with Lucky and at least 1 Excellent option

Wings: Wing of Eternal (Level 3)

  • Crafting: Wing of Transformation (L2) + 3x Loch's Feather + Jewel of Creation
  • Loch's Feather: obtained from Balgass ONLY when the Crywolf event fails
Dica: To craft the Wing of Eternal safely, stockpile at least 5 Jewels of Creation before attempting. The Chaos Machine success rate for Level 3 Wings is not guaranteed — have spare materials ready.

Harmony Jewels for Staff:

  • Recommended option: Increase Magic Attack (maximum Harmony Jewel level)
  • PvP alternative: Increase Critical Damage

Mastery Progression Summary

ML 21– 40 → Increase Maximum Magic Damage (max)
ML 41– 80 → Enhance Lightning (max)
ML 81–100 → Enhance Ice Storm (first 20 points)
ML 100–110 → Increase Maximum HP (max)
ML 111–120 → Increase Maximum Mana (max)
ML 121–130 → Soul Barrier Strengthen (max)
ML 131–140 → Increase Defense (max)
ML 141–160 → Complete Enhance Ice Storm

ML 171–180 → Increase Excellent Damage Rate (max)
ML 181–190 → Recovery Rate HP + Mana (max)
ML 191–200 → Free points into support skills
Atenção: Never invest mastery points into low-priority skills (such as Teleport Strengthen) before maxing the combat and defense branches. Misallocated mastery points cannot be redistributed without a rare and expensive ML reset item.

Following this allocation, the Grand Master reaches peak area-damage potential for PvM while maintaining enough survivability to farm autonomously in Season 6 endgame maps.

Perguntas frequentes

What is the minimum level to unlock Master Level?

Your character must be at level 400 (after the 3rd Quest and evolution to Grand Master). Completing the third quest with the NPC Priest Devin is mandatory before the mastery tree becomes available.

Which mastery skill should I prioritize first as Grand Master?

Prioritize Increase Maximum HP and Increase Maximum Mana within the first 50 ML points to survive high-level farm spots. Then invest in Soul Barrier Strengthen to reduce incoming damage significantly.

Can a Full ENE Grand Master solo farm Vulcanus?

Yes, but it requires at least ML 50 with Soul Barrier Strengthen maxed in the tree, a Gywen Ancient set +9 or higher, and Staff of Destruction +11 or above with at least one Excellent option.

How many mastery points does the Grand Master earn per ML level?

Each Master Level grants 1 mastery point. Fully unlocking the core skill nodes requires approximately 200 points, meaning ML 200 to complete the priority tree.
