What is Selupan and where to find it

Selupan is the final boss of Raklion, the end-game zone introduced in MU Online Season 6. It is one of the most powerful creatures in the game, designed for groups of high-level characters with top-tier equipment. Unlike bosses such as Kundun or Medusa, which can be approached with more casual groups, Selupan demands coordination and specific builds for consistent kills.

Raklion is a restricted-access map. To reach the area where Selupan spawns, players must traverse the outer sections of the map and, on servers with the instance system active, complete the zone's preliminary quests. The exact spawn position varies, but Selupan generally appears in the north-central region of Raklion.

Nota: Selupan belongs to the World Boss category, meaning multiple player groups can compete for the kill. On high-population servers, competition for the boss is intense — arriving first and dealing the most damage secures priority on drops.

Stats and combat mechanics

Selupan has high resistances to most damage types and an extremely large HP pool by Season 6 standards. Below are the reference values used on servers based on the standard S6 version:

AttributeApproximate value
HP8,000,000 – 12,000,000
Physical damage2,800 – 4,200
Magic damage3,100 – 4,600
Defense1,800 – 2,400
Elemental resistanceHigh (all types)
Attack speedVery high

Exact values depend on server configuration. The numbers above are a reference for servers with rates close to official.

Special abilities

Selupan alternates between three attack patterns during combat:

Pattern 1 → Area attack (physical AoE) → 3-tile radius → Causes knockback
Pattern 2 → Poison beam → Single target → DoT 800–1200 per tick
Pattern 3 → Magic explosion (AoE) → 5-tile radius → Partially ignores defense

The poison beam is the most dangerous attack for individual characters. Any character hit without sufficient poison resistance can die within 3–5 ticks if not healed or without adequate potions.

Atenção: Selupan has a "reinforcement call" ability that summons Raklion mobs around it during combat. These adds must be eliminated quickly, as they accumulate and can overwhelm healers and tanks.

For efficient Selupan farming, the ideal group size ranges from 5 to 10 characters. Larger groups dilute drops, while smaller groups risk insufficient DPS before other players steal the kill.

ClassRolePriority
Blade Knight (BK)Main tankRequired
High Elf (HE)Heal + buffRequired
Grand Master (GM)Magic DPS + supportRecommended
Duel Master (DM)Physical-magic DPSRecommended
Lord Emperor (LE)DPS + CMD buffRecommended
Blade Master (BM)Physical DPSOptional
Dimension Master (DimM)Magic DPSOptional

The Blade Knight should be the group's character with the highest defense and HP, positioned directly in front of Selupan to absorb physical attacks. The High Elf must keep the Greater Defense Buff active at all times and focus heals on the tank.

The Lord Emperor deserves special mention: the CMD (Command) stat that defines the power of summoned companions (Dark Horse and Dark Raven) makes this class a quiet but relevant contributor of additional DPS, while still allowing the LE to use offensive abilities.

Dica: Position the group in an L-shape or semicircle around Selupan. The tank occupies the closest position, magic DPS stay at a 6–8 tile range, and the healer stays at the edge — outside the physical AoE range but within heal range.

Drops and ancient items

Selupan is one of the most valuable sources of high-tier ancient items in Season 6. Drops are not guaranteed on every kill, but the rate is higher than common mobs and intermediate bosses.

In addition to ancient sets, Selupan can drop:

  • Jewel of Chaos
  • Jewel of Creation
  • Jewel of Guardian
  • Jewel of Harmony
  • Box of Kundun +5 (on some servers)
  • High-level base Excellent items
Nota: Jewel of Harmony and Jewel of Guardian are the rarest jewels in Season 6 and are not part of the basic jewel group (Bless, Soul, Life). Selupan is one of the few drop sources for these gems, which significantly increases the economic value of each kill.

Dark Knight → Blade Knight → Blade Master (Tank)

For the tank role at Selupan, the BK should prioritize:

  • Stats: Focus on Agility up to the defense cap, then Vitality. Strength only enough to equip the desired set.
  • Set: Great Dragon +11 or higher, preferably with Excellent HP or defense options. Ceto ancient set is ideal when available.
  • Main skill: Combo (Death Stab + Slash + Twisting Slash) to maintain minimum DPS while tanking.

Elf → Muse Elf → High Elf (Support/Heal)

  • Stats: Energy up to the effective heal cap, then Agility to increase personal defense.
  • Set: Dark Steel or Sunlight +11. Drake or Sylion ancient sets are excellent options.
  • Required skills: Greater Defense Buff, Greater Damage Buff, Heal in continuous rotation on the tank.

Magic Gladiator → Duel Master (DPS)

The MG has no 1st or 2nd quest, and also no access to Level 1 Wings. This means the Duel Master must compensate with higher quality equipment and well-distributed stats between Strength and Energy depending on playstyle (physical or magic). Chrono ancient set is the BiS for this class at Selupan.

Step-by-step execution strategy

1. Arrival → Semicircle formation → Tank takes front position
2. Healer activates all buffs → Greater Defense + Greater Damage
3. DPS begin attacking → Priority: eliminate adds first
4. Each reinforcement call → DPS switch to adds for 10–15 seconds
5. Tank holds position → Uses HP pots upon reaching 40% of max HP
6. Final phase (HP < 20%) → Selupan speeds up attacks → Healer increases heal frequency
7. Kill → Collect loot quickly before other players
Atenção: There is no "Flame of Condor" in Season 6. If any server announces this item as a Selupan drop in this version, it is a custom addition outside the standard S6 content. Wings available in the standard version go up to level 3 for the main classes.

Frequently asked questions

See the FAQ section at the top of this article for answers on minimum level, ancient drops, respawn timers, and each class's role in the fight.

Perguntas frequentes

What is the minimum recommended level to fight Selupan?

The minimum recommended level is 380, but characters below 400 will struggle significantly even in groups. For consistent farming, 400+ with +11 or better equipment is the standard.

Does Selupan drop ancient set items?

Yes. Selupan is one of the most important sources of high-tier ancient items, including pieces from the Ceto (Great Dragon/DK), Aruan (Thunder Hawk/DK), Drake (Dark Steel/Elf), and Chrono (Divine/MG) sets, among others.

What is Selupan's respawn timer?

Selupan's respawn time is approximately 24 hours after being killed. The exact time may vary depending on server configuration.

Yes. The Dark Lord (DL) is excellent for Selupan farming thanks to the CMD (Command) stat, which increases the attack power of summoned Dark Horses and Dark Ravens, contributing relevant DPS and group support.

Do I need to complete quests to enter Raklion?

Accessing the Raklion area requires completing the Raklion quest series, available from the corresponding NPC. Entry into the Selupan instance requires finishing these preliminary steps.
