Reset system in MU Online: how it works and strategy
Understand what resetting is, grand reset, and how to build an efficient reset strategy to level up fast.
The reset is the progression engine of nearly every MU Online server. Understanding how it works is key to leveling smartly.
What resetting is
Resetting zeroes your character's level back to 1 in exchange for bonuses. You keep your items, your Zen (usually) and accumulate the reset count. Each server defines:
- The required level to reset (e.g., max level);
- The cost (in Zen and/or Jewels);
- The bonus per reset (stat points).
Grand Reset (GR)
When you accumulate many resets, some servers unlock the Grand Reset: it zeroes your reset count in exchange for an even bigger bonus — extra points, content access or prestige.
Reset strategy
- Level up to the reset level as fast as possible (events help a lot);
- Reset as soon as you can and apply the points gained;
- Repeat the cycle, improving your gear as you go;
- Aim for the Grand Reset when the payoff is worth it.
Resets and the economy
On servers with many resets, the competition shifts to gear and PvP, not level. So alongside resets, invest in Excellent items, Ancient sets and Jewels.
