Equipment Progression from Level 150 to 300 in MU Online

Complete equipment progression guide from level 150 to 300 in MU Online S6: sets, upgrades, farm spots, and stat allocation per class.

Why the 150–300 Range Is the Most Critical in the Game

Between levels 150 and 300, you go through three major zone transitions: Dungeon → Atlans → Tarkan → Icarus/Aida. Each map demands a minimum defense and damage threshold to survive and farm efficiently. An outdated set in Tarkan means dying repeatedly to Beam Knights and Mutant Elites, wasting Zen on repairs. This guide removes the guesswork with a clear equipment roadmap by level range.

Nota: The progression below assumes S6 servers with moderate drop rates (5–15x). On higher-rate servers, you may be able to skip intermediate stages more easily.

Phase 1: Level 150–180 — Consolidating the Foundation

Dark Wizard (→ Soul Master)

  • Set: Bone Armor full set at +9 +opt (Wizardry +%)
  • Weapon: Thunder Staff +9 with Luck and Wizardry +%

Farm Spots — Phase 1

Level 150-165 → Dungeon Floor 1-2 (coords ~115,75)
  Monsters: Skeleton Warrior, Skeleton Archers
Drops: Jewel of Bless, Plate/Bone/Scale set pieces

Level 165-180 → Dungeon Floor 3 (coords ~100,100)
Monsters: Dark Knight (dungeon), Poison Bull Fighter
Drops: Jewel of Soul, Bronze/Plate pieces with options
Dica: On Dungeon Floor 3, dungeon Dark Knights consistently drop Jewels of Bless and Plate pieces with options. Form a party of 3–4 players to increase the group drop rate by up to 40% compared to solo farming.

Phase 2: Level 180–220 — Transition to Atlans

Blade Knight (post-3rd quest)

  • Set: Dragon Armor full set at +9 +opt
  • Requirement: 150 STR to equip Dragon Armor

  • Target stats at level 220: 250 STR, 80 AGI, 80 VIT, 0 ENE
Atenção: Do not attempt to equip Dragon Armor before reaching 150 STR. Many players allocate points unnecessarily into AGI before hitting the minimum STR requirement, losing DPS for several levels.

  • Weapon: Deadly Staff +9 with Wizardry +%
  • Target stats at level 220: 80 STR, 30 AGI, 70 VIT, rest ENE (~320 ENE)

Farm Spots — Phase 2

Level 180-200 → Atlans Floor 1 (coords ~20,165)
  Monsters: Sea Witch, Bahamut
Drops: Dragon/Wind/Legendary set pieces, Jewels of Bless/Soul

Level 200-220 → Atlans Floor 2 (coords ~130,100)
  Monsters: Sapi, Lizard King
Drops: Dragon/Wind sets with better options, Chaos Jewels
Nota: The Lizard King in Atlans 2 has a high chance of dropping Dragon Armor pieces with Add Defense option. The coord ~130,100 has dense respawn ideal for DK/BK with AoE skills.

Phase 3: Level 220–270 — Conquering Tarkan

Sets and Priority Upgrades

Here the game demands more: Tarkan has monsters like Mutant, Beam Knight, and Mammoth with high damage and HP. Your +9 upgrades now move to +11/+13 using Jewels of Soul.

Upgrade Procedure +9 → +13:

+9 → +10: Jewel of Soul (50% success) — item does NOT break on failure below +10
+10 → +11: Jewel of Soul (50% success) — ITEM CAN BE DESTROYED
+11 → +12: Jewel of Soul (50% success) — ITEM CAN BE DESTROYED
+12 → +13: Jewel of Soul (50% success) — ITEM CAN BE DESTROYED

Recommendation: Have at least 15 Jewels of Bless + 15 Jewels of Soul + 20 Jewels of Chaos
before attempting +11 on any main piece (armor or weapon).
Atenção: Above +10, the item can be destroyed on failure. Always use Jewel of Life on pieces already at +11 before attempting +12, as Life does not prevent destruction but improves item options. Never upgrade unique items without a backup.

Sets by Class — Phase 3 (level 220–270)

Farm Spots — Phase 3

Level 220-250 → Tarkan Floor 1 (coords ~180,90)
  Monsters: Mutant, Beam Knight
Drops: Black Dragon set pieces, Exc. Items with options
Party: 2-3 players ideal (Elf with buffs + DK + DW)

Level 250-270 → Tarkan Floor 2 (coords ~100,150)
Monsters: Beam Knight, Iron Rider, Mammoth
Drops: Ancient Items, Jewels of Chaos, rare Exc. Items
Dica: In Tarkan 2, Iron Riders have the best Excellent Item drop rate for this phase. Position your Elf (buff support) in a safe location and the DK/BK at the center of the respawn to maximize kills per minute.

Phase 4: Level 270–300 — Icarus and Aida

Paradigm Shift: Ancient Sets

At levels 270–300, the gap between players with Ancient Sets and normal +13 items becomes obvious. Ancient set bonuses (2-piece, 3-piece, 5-piece) outperform any raw upgrade advantage.

Priority Ancient Sets by Class:

Blade Master — Hades Set (Dragon Ancient)

  • 2-piece bonus: +20 STR, +30 VIT
  • 3-piece bonus: +50 Defense
  • 5-piece bonus: +15% Double Damage
  • Priority pieces: Armor + Pants + Helm

Grand Master — Gywen Set (Legendary Ancient)

  • 2-piece bonus: +20 ENE, Wizardry +10%
  • 3-piece bonus: +30 ENE
  • 5-piece bonus: Wizardry +20% additional
  • Priority pieces: Armor + Gloves

High Elf — Gywen Set (Wind Ancient) or Apollo Set

  • 2-piece bonus: +20 AGI, Add Damage +10
  • Priority pieces: Armor + Boots
Nota: In S6 servers, Ancient Items only appear via normal drops in Tarkan 2, Icarus, and Aida. The coord ~80,30 in Icarus (near the Ice Monster and Alquamos respawn) is the most reliable hot spot for high-tier Ancients.

Farm Spots — Phase 4

Level 270-285 → Icarus (coords ~80,30)
Monsters: Ice Monster, Alquamos, Ice Queen (boss)
Drops: High-tier Ancient Items, Jewel of Creation, Exc. Wings

Level 285-300 → Aida Floor 1 (coords ~100,80)
Monsters: Condor Flame, Shadow Pawn, Shadow Master
Drops: Loch's Feather (only when Crywolf FAILS), Ancient Items
Atenção: Loch's Feather only drops from Balgass and only when the Crywolf event fails (i.e., the monsters destroy the crystal). Without Loch's Feather you cannot craft Level 3 Wings. Participate in the Crywolf event every week even if it means letting the crystal fall.

Equipment Checklist by Level

Level 150 ✓ Full set +9 with at least 1 option per piece
Level 180 ✓ Mid-tier set (Dragon/Wind/Legendary) at +9
Level 200 ✓ Main weapon +9 with Luck and damage option
Level 220 ✓ Post-3rd quest full set at +9 +opt
Level 250 ✓ Main pieces at minimum +11
Level 270 ✓ At least 2 Ancient pieces of your class set
Level 300 ✓ Mostly Ancient set +9/+11, weapon +11 opt, Wings L2
Dica: Level 2 Wings are essential before entering Aida efficiently. Without them, you lose ~25% defense and damage bonuses that separate profitable farming from deficit farming. Prioritize crafting wings before attempting set upgrades above +11.

Conclusion

The 150–300 progression follows a clear rhythm: consolidate your current set at +9, change zones, update the set, repeat. Do not attempt upgrades beyond +11 on sets you will discard within 30 levels. Invest Jewels in items that will last at least 50–80 levels. Prioritize Ancient over +13 normal whenever the set bonus is relevant for your class. With this roadmap, you arrive at level 300 competitive and ready for endgame content.

Perguntas frequentes

Which set should I use at level 150?

At level 150 use the Plate set (DK), Bone set (DW/Summoner), Scale set (Elf), or Pad set (MG/DL). All pieces should be at least +9 with Luck and at least one additional option (Add Damage or Wizardry +%). Avoid sets below +7 since the defense difference is significant.

When should I switch to the Dragon set?

Switch to the Dragon set (DK) or Thunder Hawk (Elf) from level 180–200 onward, once you obtain pieces at +9 +opt minimum. Dragon Set requires 150 STR to equip and offers superior defense over Plate, making it the standard transition set for Tarkan.

Is it worth using Ancient sets before level 250?

Yes, mid-tier Ancient sets like the Gywen Set (Elf) or Hades Set (DK) offer set bonuses that outperform normal +13 versions. Prioritize at least 2 pieces from the same Ancient set to activate the first set bonus, especially gloves and armor.

How do I safely upgrade from +9 to +11?

Always use Jewel of Bless up to +9, then Jewel of Soul from +9 to +11 with 50% success chance. Never attempt +12 without having at least 30 Jewels of Chaos in reserve to recover the piece via Chaos combination, as the item can be destroyed above +10.
