Castle Siege Guide: Weekly Preparation to Dominate the Castle

Complete weekly preparation guide for Castle Siege in MU Online S6: builds, Zen farming, guild strategies and positioning for event day.

VI ViciadosMU Team · Updated on 3 jul 2026 · ⏱ 12 min read

Castle Siege happens every Saturday and is the week's highest point in MU Online S6. The difference between a guild that dominates and one that merely shows up lies entirely in the preparation done Monday through Friday. This guide details every step of that routine.

Why Weekly Preparation Defines the Outcome

On event day, reaction time is minimal. Build decisions, equipped items, party slots, and map positioning need to be settled before Saturday. Guilds that improvise on the day lose to guilds that practiced their formation.

Nota: Castle Siege takes place at 20:00 (server-configured time). Attacking guild registration opens Monday and closes Friday night. Do not miss the registration deadline — without registering, your guild cannot attack.

Monday and Tuesday: Resource Farming for the Week

Required Zen and Jewels

To sustain repairs, last-minute upgrades, and consumables during the siege, every guild member should accumulate at least 50 million Zen per week. Recommended spots by level range:

  • Level 200–300: Lost Tower Floors 5–7 (Dark Succubus, Death Gorgon). Route: enter the tower, go straight to floor 6, circular farming path. Yields ~8M Zen/hour in a party of 5.
  • Level 300–380: Aida (Witch Queen, Bloody Wolf, Cursed Lich). Central Aida spot near coordinates 120x120. Yields ~15M Zen/hour solo.
  • Level 380+: Karutan 2 (Kundun's Servant, Condra, Resurrected Gladiator). North spot, approximate coordinates 180x50. Yields ~25M Zen/hour with buffs.
Dica: A support Elf (Muse Elf or High Elf with buff build) in a party multiplies Zen earned by 30–40% through increased farm speed. Always keep an Elf in your weekly farming group.

Priority Jewels for Preparation

Weekly accumulation priority (per combat member):
→ 10x Jewel of Bless (repairs and emergency upgrades)
→ 5x Jewel of Soul (last-minute upgrades)
→ 3x Jewel of Life (adding luck/skill options to items)
→ 10x Antidote / HP Potion Large (siege consumables)

Wednesday and Thursday: Build and Equipment Refinement

Stat Distribution by Class in Castle Siege

Each class has a different role. Adjust your stats according to your function:

Blade Master — Gate Guardian (Tank)

Recommended at Level 400:
→ STR: 300 (physical damage and defense)
→ AGI: 200 (attack speed and dodge)
→ VIT: 250 (high HP to absorb damage)
→ ENE: class minimum (~30)
Gear: Dragon Knight Set +11+L+DD, Sword Dancer +13+L

Grand Master — Ranged Damage Dealer

Recommended at Level 400:
→ STR: class minimum (~30)
→ AGI: 100 (cast speed)
→ VIT: 150 (basic survivability)
→ ENE: remainder (~520+) — maximizes Chain Lightning and Twisting Slash
Gear: Dark Soul Set +11+L, Thunder Missile Staff +13+L

High Elf — Support and Archer

Recommended at Level 400 (support role):
→ AGI: 400 (attack and defense buffs scale with AGI)
→ ENE: 200 (buff range and strength)
→ VIT: 100
→ STR: minimum
Gear: Spirit Set +9+L, Silver Bow +11+L (for archer: Wind Set +11+L)

Lord Emperor — Leadership and Area Control

Recommended at Level 400:
→ STR: 200
→ AGI: 150
→ VIT: 150
→ ENE: 150
→ CMD: 300 (maximizes Dark Horse, Dark Raven and Chaotic Diseier)
Gear: Divine Set +11+L, Explosion Blade +13+L

Duel Master — Pressure Hybrid

Recommended at Level 400:
→ STR: 250
→ ENE: 300 (Gigantic Storm, Electric Spark)
→ AGI: 150
→ VIT: 100
Gear: Destroy Set +11+L, Double Blade +13+L
Atenção: A Blade Master without at least 200 VIT in castle siege dies in 2–3 hits from a full ENE Grand Master with Thunder Missile +13. Do not skimp on VIT if your role is to tank the gate.

Minimum Equipment Checklist

Before Castle Siege — verify every item:
→ Main weapon: minimum +11+L (Lucky recommended)
→ Complete set: minimum +9+L, ideally +11+L+DD
→ Wing: L2 as minimum, L3 for serious competitors
→ Socketed jewels: active Excellent options on the set
→ Pets: Dark Horse or Fenrir equipped (DL must have Dark Horse)
→ Durability: fully repaired on EVERYTHING before entering

Friday: Registration and Tactical Planning

How to Register Your Guild as an Attacker

Attacking guild registration process:
→ Step 1: Guild master goes to "Castle Guardian" NPC in Lorencia (130, 130)
→ Step 2: Select "Register as Attacker" with 5,000,000 Zen fee
→ Step 3: Confirm participating members (maximum per server config)
→ Step 4: Registration locks Friday by 23:59
→ Step 5: Define the formation — who guards the Switch, who attacks the Crown
Nota: The guild that controls the castle defends automatically — no registration needed. Only attacking guilds go through the process above.

Tactical Formation for Siege Day

Divide your guild into three groups with clear roles:

Group 1 — Gate Breaking (4–6 Blade Masters) Role: destroy the south and north gates using Force Wave and Combo Attack. Positioning: stay behind ranged players while advancing.

Group 2 — Damage and Control (4–6 Grand Masters + 2 Duel Masters) Role: eliminate defenders on the walls with Chain Lightning and Gigantic Storm. Positioning: behind Group 1, covering long-range angles.

Group 3 — Support and Flanking (2 High Elfs + 2 Lord Emperors) Role: constant buff on Group 1, flank control with Dark Raven spam, prioritize eliminating enemy High Elfs first.

Saturday: Castle Siege Day

30 Minutes Before the Event Starts

Pre-siege routine (all members):
→ 100% repair on all items
→ Consumables in inventory: 20x HP Large, 10x Mana Large, 10x Antidote
→ Party formed and slots confirmed
→ Initial position agreed upon (rally point: south of the Castle)
→ SD (Shield) potions equipped if available on the server

During the Siege: Target Priorities

Target elimination order matters more than raw DPS:

Target priority order:
1. Enemy High Elf (removes their team's buffs — highest impact)
2. Enemy Lord Emperor (removes Dark Raven + area Chaotic Diseier)
3. Grand Master spamming Chain Lightning on your tanks
4. Blade Master defenders at the gate
5. Rest of the defending guild
Dica: If you eliminate the enemy High Elf in the first 2 minutes of the siege, their team loses 30–50% of its effectiveness. This is more impactful than destroying any gate immediately.

Crown Switch Control

The Crown Switch is located in the center of the castle. To win, a member must interact with the Switch and survive 15 seconds of channeling without being interrupted:

Crown capture procedure:
→ Tank Blade Master enters first, absorbs incoming damage
→ Lord Emperor positions Dark Raven around the Switch
→ Designated DL or BM begins channeling the Switch
→ Grand Masters cover by eliminating anyone who approaches
→ High Elf maintains active buffs on the entire team during channeling
Atenção: Any hit received during the 15-second Switch channel resets the process. The tank Blade Master needs to stand in front of the player channeling, literally blocking the enemy's line of attack.

Post-Siege: Castle Benefits and Preparing for Next Week

If your guild wins, the benefits are substantial:

  • Tax Rate: the guild controls the server's tax rate (trading, repairs at castle NPCs)
  • Castle Deep: exclusive access to the castle dungeon with high-loot mobs
  • Guild Buff: all winning guild members receive a temporary stat bonus
  • Prestige: guild ranking rises, making it easier to recruit strong players
Nota: Even if you lose the siege, your guild gains coordination experience and participating players accumulate PvP points. Use recordings or notes from the session to identify what failed and correct it for the following week.

Weekly preparation is not optional — it is what separates guilds that make server history from guilds that watch from the sidelines.

Perguntas frequentes

Which class is strongest in Castle Siege?

Blade Master with tank build (300 VIT, 250 STR, rest into AGI at level 400) is the best gate guardian. Grand Master full ENE dominates at range with Twisting Slash and Chain Lightning. The ideal guild composition mixes both roles.

How many members do I need to participate in Castle Siege?

A guild needs at least 1 member registered at the Castle Altar during the registration window (Monday to Thursday, closing Friday). But to compete seriously, 10+ active members with +11 or better gear are required.

What happens with Crywolf and Castle Siege in the same week?

They are independent events. However, if Crywolf FAILS, Balgass is defeated and his loot includes Loch's Feather — essential for Wing L3. Guilds that control the castle often organize groups to deliberately ensure the Crywolf fails.

What is the minimum gear to be useful in Castle Siege?

Weapon +9+L or higher, complete set +7+L for your class, and Wing L2 as the absolute minimum. Without Wing L2, you will be eliminated quickly by the endgame players in this event.
