Frequently asked questions
What does 'Reset' mean in MU Online?
A Reset is zeroing the character's level back to 1 in exchange for bonuses (extra stat points and, on some servers, rewards). You keep items and achievements, but start leveling again — becoming permanently stronger with each reset. It's the main progression loop on many servers.
What do 'Excellent' and 'Ancient' items mean?
Excellent is an item with extra random options (damage, health, mana, speed), marked in green. Ancient is a rarity above that: besides the fixed Ancient option, it belongs to a named set that gives a bonus when you gather several pieces. An item can be Excellent and Ancient at the same time, making it the top of the gear.
What are BC, DS, CC and CS in chat?
They are event acronyms: BC = Blood Castle, DS = Devil Square, CC = Chaos Castle and CS = Castle Siege. When someone calls 'BC7' or 'DS4', it's the event level matching the character's tier. Knowing the acronyms helps to form a group and take part in the events.
What is the difference between Zen and WCoin?
Zen is the game's currency, earned by killing monsters and selling items — used to buy items from NPCs and to trade. WCoin (or Cash/Credits) is usually the premium/donation currency, used in the server's shop. Zen is earned by playing; WCoin generally involves donation or special events.
What do PvP, PvE, buff, tank and farm mean?
PvP is combat against other players; PvE is against monsters. A buff is a skill that improves attributes (yours or the party's). A tank is the character who takes damage on the front line. Farm is killing monsters repeatedly to gather XP, Zen and items. These are terms that come up all the time in guides.
