What is Attack Speed in MU Online S6

In MU Online Season 6, attack speed (displayed as Haste in the Status window) determines how many hits per second your character delivers. It affects both normal attacks and the casting cadence of most active skills. Understanding how to calculate and optimize it is essential for any competitive build.

Attack speed is shown in the Status window (press C) as a numeric value. The cap in S6 is 500 for all classes — any source that would push the value beyond 500 is wasted.

Nota: Attack speed and movement speed are separate stats. AGI contributes to both, but through independent formulas. This article covers attack speed exclusively.

The Base Attack Speed Formula

The general formula used by S6 servers is:

Attack Speed = Total_AGI / Class_Divisor + Fixed_Bonuses

Where:

  • Total_AGI = base AGI + distributed points + equipment bonuses + ancient set bonuses
  • Class_Divisor = a constant that varies by class (see table below)
  • Fixed_Bonuses = bonuses from wings, Fenrir, excellent options, and support skills

The result is truncated to an integer and capped at 500.

Divisors per Class and Effective AGI Cap

ClassDivisor (S6)AGI for cap (no bonuses)Starting AGI
Dark Knight (BK/BM)3~150028
Dark Wizard (SM/GM)3~150028
Fairy Elf (ME/HE)3~150028
Magic Gladiator (DM)3~150028
Dark Lord (LE)3~150030
Summoner (BS/DiM)3~150028
Nota: The standard S6 divisor is 3 for all classes, but the starting attack speed (with no distributed points beyond base) differs because starting AGI values and weapon bonuses vary. Private servers often adjust these values — always verify the specific server you play on.

Equipment Bonuses to Attack Speed

Many items grant attack speed in addition to what AGI provides:

Weapons with Excellent Option

The excellent option "Increase Attack Speed +7" adds a flat 7 points of attack speed to the weapon. It is one of the most sought-after options for physical builds.

Wings

WingLevelSpeed Bonus
DK Wing (L1)Level 1No fixed bonus
DK Wing (L2 — Dragon Wing)Level 2+10 Attack
DK Wing (L3 — Cape of Lord)Level 3+15 Attack
DW Wing (L2 — Wing of Eternal)Level 2+10 Magic
Elf Wing (L2 — Wing of Illusion)Level 2+10 Attack
Elf Wing (L3 — Wing of Mystery)Level 3+15 Attack
MG Wing (L2 — Wing of Ruin)Level 2+10
DL Cape (L2 — Cape of Emperor)Level 2+10
Summoner Wing (L2 — Wing of Despair)Level 2+10
Any L3 WingLevel 3+15 Attack
Dica: To craft Level 3 Wings in S6 you need: an L2 Wing + 3x Loch's Feather + Jewel of Creation. Loch's Feather drops exclusively from the boss Balgass in Crywolf Fortress, and only when the Crywolf event fails (i.e., the statues are destroyed). Jewel of Creation drops from Kundun (Kalima 7), Nightmare (Kanturu 3), and Selupan (Raklion).

Fenrir

The Fenrir pet grants a fixed +10 attack speed when equipped, regardless of its upgrade tier. This bonus is always active.

Ancient Sets

Certain ancient sets grant attack speed bonuses via 2-piece or full-set options:

SetClassSpeed Bonus
Hyon (Dragon Set)Dark Knight+10 (2-piece)
Gywen (Bow Elf Set)Fairy Elf+10 (2-piece)
Aruan (Thunder Hawk)Dark Knight+7 (2-piece)
Chrono (Divine)Magic Gladiator+10 (2-piece)

Skills That Affect Attack Speed

Greater Haste (Fairy Elf / Muse Elf / High Elf)

Greater Haste is the most important attack speed buff in S6:

Haste (levels 1–10):
  Base bonus: +20 Attack Speed
  Bonus per skill level: +2 per level
  Maximum (Haste level 10): +40 Attack Speed
  Duration: 60 seconds
  Mana cost: 20 (base)
Dica: Haste is a group buff that affects all nearby party members. A High Elf with maxed Haste (level 10) grants +40 attack speed to every nearby ally — this can be the deciding factor for reaching the 500 cap without investing heavily in AGI.

Attack Speed Aura (Dark Lord / Lord Emperor)

The Dark Lord has a passive aura that increases nearby allies' attack speed by up to +15, scaling with the CMD (Command) stat — the attribute exclusive to the Dark Lord class.

DL Attack Speed Aura:
  Base: +5 attack speed
  Scaling: +1 for every 50 CMD above 100
  Aura cap: +15

High Elf1000~333 + item bonuses~343~343–380
Duel Master (MG)900~300 + item bonuses~340~350~350–400
Atenção: The Magic Gladiator (MG → Duel Master) has no first or second class quest and no Level 1 Wings. His wings start at Level 2 (Wing of Ruin), meaning he already has a +10 wing bonus when he first equips wings. Factor this into your calculations — MG starts with a head start on fixed bonuses.

Step-by-Step: Calculating Your Attack Speed

Step 1 → Add up all your AGI:
  Total_AGI = base_AGI + distributed_points + equipment_AGI_bonus

Step 2 → Divide by the class divisor:
  AGI_speed = Total_AGI / 3

Step 3 → Add fixed bonuses:
  total_speed = AGI_speed
              + wing_bonus
              + fenrir_bonus (if equipped: +10)
              + excellent_bonus (if active: +7 per weapon)
              + ancient_set_bonus (if active)
              + Elf_Haste (if in party or self-buff: +20 to +40)
              + DL_aura (if nearby: +5 to +15)

Step 4 → Apply the cap:
  final_speed = MIN(total_speed, 500)

Practical Example: Blade Master

Assume a Blade Master with:

  • 900 total AGI (base + distributed + equipment)
  • L3 Wings (+15)
  • Fenrir equipped (+10)
  • 1 weapon with Excellent Attack Speed option (+7)
  • Haste level 8 from an allied High Elf (+36)
AGI_speed    = 900 / 3 = 300
fixed_bonuses = 15 + 10 + 7 + 36 = 68
total_speed  = 300 + 68 = 368
final result = 368 (below the 500 cap)

To reach the cap of 500, this character would need an additional 132 points from more AGI or other bonuses.

Tips for Optimizing Attack Speed

Dica: Excellent weapons with +7 Attack Speed in both hands (dual wield for BK) give +14 total — equivalent to 42 extra AGI points in terms of speed impact.
Dica: For magic classes (DW/GM, Summoner), attack speed primarily affects casting delay. These builds do not need to reach 500 — values between 300 and 400 already provide competitive casting cadence.
Atenção: In S6, the Flame of Condor does not exist and the Rage Fighter class does not exist. Any reference to those belongs to later seasons. Do not mix information from different seasons when planning your S6 build.
Nota: Attack speed also affects mana recovery when using the "mana steal" excellent option on normal attacks. The faster your attack speed, the faster you passively recover mana through auto-attacks with that option active.

Perguntas frequentes

What is the maximum attack speed cap in MU Online S6?

The attack speed cap is 500 for all classes in S6. Any AGI points beyond what is needed to reach 500 provide no further benefit.

How much AGI is needed to reach the attack speed cap?

It depends on your class and gear bonuses. With no fixed bonuses, you need roughly 1500 total AGI (base + distributed + equipment) to reach the cap of 500 via AGI alone.

Does Haste affect skills or only normal attacks?

In S6, Haste increases both normal attack speed and reduces the delay between skill casts, making it relevant for physical and magic builds alike.

Do Wings and pets affect attack speed?

Yes. Level 3 Wings grant a fixed +15 attack speed bonus, and the Fenrir pet grants a fixed +10 attack speed when equipped.
