What Is Ruud and Why It Matters

Ruud is the exclusive currency introduced alongside the Master Level system in MU Online. Unlike Zen — the game's general-purpose currency — Ruud does not circulate in player markets, cannot be transferred between accounts, and has no use outside the Mastery context. This design was intentional: the system was built to reward only the time invested at high-end play.

In Season 6, the Master Level becomes accessible to characters who have reached level 400 and completed their class evolution requirements. The exception is the Magic Gladiator, who advances directly to Duel Master without passing through the 1st and 2nd evolution quests, and the Dark Lord, who follows his own path with the CMD attribute.

The six playable classes in S6 and their evolutions are:

Dark Knight → Blade Knight → Blade Master
Dark Wizard → Soul Master → Grand Master
Fairy Elf → Muse Elf → High Elf
Magic Gladiator→ Duel Master (no 1st/2nd Quest)
Dark Lord → Lord Emperor (exclusive CMD stat)
Summoner → Bloody Summoner → Dimension Master

Each of these final-tier classes has its own Master Skill Tree made up of three branches. Activating and leveling each node costs Ruud — making the currency the central resource of late-game progression.

How to Earn Ruud: Sources and Rates

Ruud is obtained exclusively through monster drops and event rewards at higher difficulty tiers. There is no crafting recipe, NPC purchase, or box loot that consistently generates Ruud outside of these sources.

Monster Drop Rates by Zone

ZoneMonster Level RangeRuud per Kill (approx.)
Aida 185–971–3
Aida 2100–1103–6
Karutan 1105–1154–7
Karutan 2115–1306–10
Acheron120–1408–15
Raklion115–1255–9
Land of Trials100–1205–10
Nota: Ruud drops are individual — each player on the map receives their own amount when they kill a monster. It is not split between party members like Zen is in group play. There is no group bonus or penalty for Ruud accumulation.

Event Rewards

The main events that grant Ruud as a reward in S6 are:

  • Blood Castle 7 and 8: base reward of 200–400 Ruud per successful completion
  • Devil Square 6 and 7: 150–350 Ruud depending on final ranking
  • Chaos Castle 6 and 7: 100–250 Ruud for top survivors
  • Invasions (Golden Dragon, Bali): bonus Ruud from invasion boss loot
Dica: The most efficient way to accumulate Ruud in S6 is to combine intensive farming in Acheron or Karutan 2 — the highest-yield zones — with daily participation in Blood Castle and Devil Square at maximum floors. A well-equipped character can accumulate between 5,000 and 15,000 Ruud per hour in Acheron.

The Master Skill Tree: How to Spend Ruud

The Master Skill Tree is composed of three branches (Branch I, II, and III), each containing multiple nodes. Every node can be leveled up to a maximum of level 20. The Ruud cost per point invested increases progressively as the node rises in level.

Cost Scale per Node Level

Node LevelCost per Point (Ruud)Cumulative Cost to That Level
1–5100500
6–102001,500
11–154003,500
16–208007,500

Maxing out a single Master Skill Tree node costs 7,500 Ruud. Since each tree has between 18 and 24 active nodes, completing the full tree for any class requires between 135,000 and 180,000 Ruud — not counting potential resets or build changes.

Atenção: Points invested in the Master Skill Tree cannot be freely redistributed. A full tree reset is possible via NPC, but it consumes a significant amount of Ruud (amount varies by server). Planning your build before you start investing saves considerable resources.

Investment Priorities by Class

Each class has different priority nodes. The table below shows the highest-return branches for both farming and PvP in S6:

Final ClassPriority Branch for FarmingPriority Branch for PvP
Blade MasterBranch I (STR/physical damage)Branch III (combo skills)
Grand MasterBranch II (magical damage)Branch I (resistances)
High ElfBranch II (multi-shot/buffs)Branch III (support skills)
Duel MasterBranch I (mixed physical/magic ATK)Branch II (speed/evasion)
Lord EmperorBranch III (CMD/summons)Branch I (HP/defense)
Dimension MasterBranch II (summon damage)Branch III (debuffs)

The Ruud Exchanger NPC

The Ruud Exchanger is the NPC that handles all Ruud transactions. He is located in Lorencia and near the entrances to high-level zones like Aida and Acheron.

Beyond providing access to the Master Skill Tree, the Ruud Exchanger offers a secondary function: trading Ruud for mastery items — special equipment and consumables available exclusively with this currency.

Items Available at the Ruud Exchanger (S6)

ItemRuud CostNotes
Potion of Bless (Master)500Instant HP/Mana recovery at high level
Scroll of Archangel1,200Temporary attribute buff for Master Level characters
Jewel of Guardian3,000Same as drop — convenience purchase
Cherry Blossom Box5,000Seasonal event; when available
Nota: In Season 6, the "Flame of Condor" item does not exist — it was introduced in later seasons. Any reference to that item in an S6 context is incorrect. Likewise, the Rage Fighter class is absent from S6; it was added in a subsequent update. Ancient sets available in S6 include: Hyon, Gywen, Sebone, Kantata, Eplate, Agnis, Ceto, Drake, Gaia, Broy, Sylion, Heras, Chrono, Anubis, Enis, and Aruan.

Efficient Ruud Management: Advanced Strategies

Calculating Your Progress

To estimate how many farming hours are needed to complete the Master Skill Tree, use this simplified formula:

Total Ruud needed ÷ Ruud/hour from farming = Estimated hours

Example (Blade Master farming Acheron):
150,000 ÷ 10,000 = 15 hours of focused farming

This calculation assumes uninterrupted farming without events. With daily participation in Blood Castle 8 and Devil Square 7, actual time drops by approximately 20–30%.

Smart Node Prioritization

Not all Master Skill Tree nodes offer the same return. In general:

  • Passive attribute nodes (STR, AGI, VIT, ENE) offer linear returns and are safe to maximize first.
  • Active skill nodes typically require a Branch I or II prerequisite before they become available — invest in prerequisites first.
  • For the Lord Emperor, CMD nodes are the absolute priority since each point directly increases the number and strength of summoned creatures, which are central to the class's playstyle.

Avoiding Common Mistakes

The most frequent mistakes by players beginning Master Level are:

  1. Investing in skill nodes that do not match their chosen playstyle (farming vs. PvP)
  2. Forgetting to check prerequisites before trying to unlock advanced nodes
  3. Spending Ruud on Exchanger items before completing the essential tree nodes

The general recommendation is: prioritize your Mastery Tree nodes before any Exchanger purchases, except when a specific item is required to unlock particular content.

Ruud in the S6 Endgame Context

The Ruud system represents the deepest layer of progression in MU Online Season 6. A character with no Master Skill Tree points is at a significant disadvantage in high-level zones and top-tier PvP — especially once Master Level 200+ characters appear on the server.

The seven core jewels of the game — Bless, Soul, Life, Chaos, Creation, Guardian, and Harmony — remain central to overall endgame progression, but Ruud is the only resource that determines the individual power ceiling of a Master Level character. There are no shortcuts: progression is entirely based on time invested and farming efficiency.

Dica: Players who reach Master Level 100 before maxing their priority tree nodes often notice that damage and survivability have already improved substantially. Master Level 200 is the point where the gap between optimized and unoptimized builds becomes critical in competitive PvP.

Perguntas frequentes

What is Ruud and what is it used for?

Ruud is the exclusive currency of the Master Level system in MU Online. It is spent to unlock and upgrade skills in each class's Master Skill Tree, allowing characters above level 400 to continue progressing through powerful attribute bonuses and unique high-tier abilities.

How do you earn Ruud in MU Online S6?

In Season 6, Ruud is primarily obtained by killing high-level monsters in zones like Aida, Karutan, Acheron, and during special invasions. The amount dropped scales with the monster's level and zone tier. Events such as Blood Castle and Devil Square at higher floors also grant Ruud as a completion reward.

Is there a Ruud storage cap?

Yes. Each character can hold up to 999,999 Ruud. There is no warehouse or bank for Ruud — the currency is character-bound and cannot be transferred between accounts or traded on the market.

Do Magic Gladiator and Dark Lord have different Mastery Trees?

Yes. The Magic Gladiator (→ Duel Master) and the Dark Lord (→ Lord Emperor) each have class-specific Mastery Trees. The MG skips the 1st and 2nd evolution quests entirely and accesses Master Level directly at level 400. The Dark Lord uses the exclusive CMD (Command) stat, which scales the count and power of his summoned creatures.
