Complete guide to Aida and Karutan in MU Online: Aida (dark forest, level 200-280, Bloody Queen spawn for DW AoE farming, Ancient item source), Karutan 1 and 2 (desert, level 280-360+, Agonal Weapon and Master Agonal monsters, among the highest EXP/item sources before Raklion), best classes for each map, item drops, connection to Kundun and Selupan end-game, and how these maps bridge Tarkan and Raklion.

Quick answer

Aida and Karutan are MU Online's bridge maps between Tarkan (mid-game) and Raklion/Kanturu (true end-game). They're some of the most rewarding farming maps in Season 6 for characters in the level 200-360 range, offering high EXP, excellent drops, and Ancient items needed to complete class sets.

Dica: Aida (level 200-280) and Karutan (280-360+) are the "penultimate" phase of S6 progression. They're better than Tarkan but accessible before you need full Raklion-level gear. Farming Aida's Bloody Queen and Karutan 2's elite monsters is standard end-game income for well-established characters.

Aida — the dark forest

Map overview:

Theme: dark, shadowed forest with ruined structures

Aida farming strategy by class:

Dark Wizard (Grand Master) — BEST:
→ Nova + Bloody Queen dense spawn = ideal
→ Stand in center of Bloody Queen group
→ 1 Nova kills 6-10 Bloody Queens
→ Repeat → fastest farming rate in Aida by far
→ Tip: map out the densest Queen spawn locations first

Dark Knight (Blade Master):
→ Twisting Slash in Bloody Queen groups
→ Less efficient than DW Nova but solid sustained farming
→ Better in Aida 2 where monsters are more spread out (less AoE advantage for DW)

Magic Gladiator (Duel Master):
→ ENE MG: Frost Nova on Bloody Queen group → Twisting Slash follow-up
→ Decent option — not as fast as Grand Master but more versatile

Fairy Elf (High Elf):
→ AGI: Triple Shot / Penetration from range
→ Slower than DW/DK but viable for Elf
→ ENE Elf in party: buff other players → they farm faster

Summoner (Dimension Master):
→ Drain Life on Bloody Queen groups
→ Slower than DW Nova but efficient for sustained marathon sessions
→ Good option for Summoner players in this level range

---

Aida drops:

Excellent items:
→ Appropriate for level 200-280 characters
→ Common base types: armor, weapons for all 6 classes
→ Good source for completing Wing L1 material if still building

→ Farming Aida = passive Jewel income alongside item drops

---

→ Excellent items from here are appropriate for Wing L3 sets
→ Ancient item drop: very good rate for level 320-360+ items

---

Karutan farming strategy:

Dark Wizard (Grand Master):
→ Nova farming in Agonal/Master Agonal dense spawn
→ Slightly less optimal than Aida (Queen clusters) but still strong
→ Best farming in Karutan 2 where monsters are denser

Dark Knight (Blade Master):
→ Twisting Slash in Karutan monsters
→ Death Stab on isolated Master Agonal
→ Strong option for DK — Karutan 2 suits DK well

Magic Gladiator:
→ STR MG: excellent in Karutan 2 (Death Stab range)
→ ENE MG: Frost Nova + Gigantic Storm
→ Good farming class here

Party composition (most efficient):
→ 2x DK (frontline) + 1x DW (AoE) + 1x Elf (buff/heal)
→ DK + Elf: survivability → DW free to nova efficiently

---

Karutan loot:

Best drops in Karutan:
→ Excellent items: appropriate for characters building Wing L3 sets
→ Ancient items: very good rate (better than Aida)
→ Lost Map #6: drops in Karutan (for Kalima 6 tickets)

Specific valuable drops from Karutan:
→ Ancient pieces for class sets (Dragon, Wind, Valiant, etc.) at higher item levels
→ Excellent weapons with good options — the basis for Wing L3 gear sets

---

When to transition from Aida to Karutan:

Move to Karutan when:
→ Level 280+ and Karutan 1 monsters are farmable without excessive deaths
→ Aida's EXP per kill is no longer the best available for your level
→ Your gear is strong enough: Wing L2 + Excellent/Ancient armor + good weapons
→ Party is at the Karutan-appropriate level range

Stay in Aida when:
→ Level 200-260 and Karutan monsters hit too hard
→ Solo: Aida's Bloody Queen is easier to solo than Karutan 2 Master Agonal
→ Specifically farming Aida-tier item drops for wing crafting materials

The Aida → Karutan → Raklion progression chain

Full advanced map progression (level 200-400):

Level 200-280: Aida
→ Bloody Queen farming for DW/DK
→ Ancient set completion for your class
→ Excellent item accumulation

Level 280-340: Karutan 1
→ Agonal Weapon as primary target
→ Higher EXP than Aida
→ Better Ancient items for the level range

Level 340-380: Karutan 2
→ Master Agonal as primary target
→ Best pre-Raklion EXP source
→ Excellent items for Wing L3 sets

Level 380-400+: Raklion
→ The true end-game map
→ Selupan boss territory
→ Hardest map in S6 outside of boss instances
→ Best item drops in the game

Parallel activity throughout:
→ Kalima 7 runs for JoCreation from Kundun
→ Kanturu 3 runs for JoCreation from Nightmare
→ Castle Siege weekly
→ Golden Invasion for Box of Kundun income
Nota: Aida's Bloody Queen is one of those rare "perfect" farming encounters in MU Online: dense spawn, good drops, excellent EXP, and positioned exactly where DW's Nova is at peak efficiency. It's the reason many players consider the Grand Master → Aida combination the best PvM farming setup in S6. If you're a DW player, farming Aida should be one of your primary goals after reaching level 200.
Atenção: Both Aida and Karutan are significantly more dangerous than Tarkan. Don't transition to these maps without adequate preparation. Test Aida first: go to the Bloody Queen spawn and fight for 5 minutes. If you're dying regularly with full potions: you're not ready yet. Go back to Tarkan 2, upgrade your gear further, and try again. Karutan 2 is even harder — treat Master Agonal as a gate check. If it kills you comfortably with good gear: your group needs more preparation before farming there efficiently.

Frequently asked questions

What level is Aida for?

Aida is generally recommended for level 200-280 characters. It's a step above Tarkan 2 in both monster strength and item quality. The Bloody Queen enemy in Aida is a favorite farming target for Dark Wizard (Nova AoE) due to the dense spawn and good Excellent item drops.

What is Karutan?

Karutan is a two-level desert map (Karutan 1 and Karutan 2) for level 280-360+ characters. It sits between Aida and Raklion in the progression chain. Karutan 2 specifically has some of the highest EXP and best Excellent item drops before the full end-game territory of Raklion and Kanturu 3.

Is Aida better than Tarkan?

For level 200-280 characters: Aida offers better EXP and items than Tarkan 2. Once you can farm Aida comfortably, Tarkan is no longer efficient. The Bloody Queen spawn in Aida is particularly rewarding for DW/AoE classes. However, not all S6 servers include Aida — verify your server's map list.

Does Aida drop Ancient items?

Yes, Aida has a good Ancient item drop rate for the level range. Farming Aida for Excellent and Ancient items is a common activity for characters in the 200-280 range building toward complete Ancient sets. Karutan has even better Ancient rates for level 280-360+ characters.
