What is Land of Trials

Land of Trials is one of the most exclusive and contested maps in MU Online Season 6. Located in an isolated region of the MU continent, this map serves as the territory of a single guild at a time — the one that conquers and holds the Castle during the Castle Siege event.

Unlike common maps, Land of Trials is not accessible to all players. Access is controlled by the dominant guild, which can grant or restrict entry according to its own internal policy. This characteristic makes the map a symbol of power and status within any server.

Nota: Land of Trials is the only map in MU Online S6 whose access is controlled by a player guild rather than the game system. The guild that owns the castle sets the rules of entry.

Access Requirements

To even attempt to access Land of Trials, a character must meet the following criteria:

RequirementDetail
Minimum Level180
Class2nd Class required (after 1st Quest)
PermissionGranted by the guild that owns the castle
ExceptionMembers of the owning guild have unrestricted access
Atenção: Even if your guild is allied with the dominant guild, access is not automatic. The owning guild must manually configure permissions in the castle system.

Monsters of Land of Trials

The map features extremely high-level creatures, making it dangerous even for well-equipped characters. Here are the key monsters:

MonsterLevelApprox. HPNotable Drops
Sapi-Tres9645,000Jewel of Soul, Excellent items
Beam Knight9955,000Jewel of Bless, rare Ancient items
Shining Wizard9848,000Jewel of Life, +9/+10 items
Death Angel10062,000Chaos Jewel, Ancient sets
Dark Elf9742,000Jewel of Creation, accessories
Dica: Land of Trials is one of the best locations to farm Jewel of Life and high-level Excellent items, especially for characters above level 300.

Castle Siege: The Main Event

Castle Siege is the event that determines who controls Land of Trials. It is considered the most competitive end-game content in MU Online S6, requiring organization and cooperation among dozens of players.

Event Schedule

Guild Registration → Open during the week before Siege
Statue Preparation → 2 days before Siege (challenger guilds must activate Guardian Statues)
Castle Siege → Duration: 2 hours (time set by the server)
Result → Guild with most Crown Switches occupied wins

How Castle Siege Works

The main objective of Castle Siege is to occupy the Crown Switch located inside the castle long enough to be declared the winner. The process involves:

  1. Destroy the Gates — Attacking guilds must destroy the castle gates to advance.
  2. Eliminate Guardian Statues — Statues protect the path to the Crown Switch.
  3. Occupy the Crown Switch — A guild member must interact with the switch continuously.
  4. Hold the Position — The guild that holds the switch the longest by the end of 2 hours wins.
Nota: Castle gates have variable hit points depending on the upgrade level made by the owning guild. A well-invested castle can have gates with up to 100,000 HP, making it extremely difficult for attackers to advance.

Roles in Castle Siege

RoleFunction
Guild MasterRegisters the guild and sets strategies
Tank (DK/BK)Absorbs damage at gates and Crown Switch
DPS (MG/DM)Rapid elimination of defenders and statues
Support (Elf/HE)HP buffs and restores for allies
Control (DW/SM/GM)AoE skills to disperse attackers
DL (Lord Emperor)Command (CMD) buff for the group

Benefits of Controlling the Castle

The guild that conquers the castle obtains significant advantages for all its members:

Direct Benefits

BenefitDetail
Tax IncomePercentage from the Chaos Machine of the entire server
Land of Trials AccessFull control over who enters the map
Guardian StatuesAdditional protection in the next Siege
Castle ItemsExclusive equipment obtained inside the castle
Status and PrestigeRecognition as the dominant guild on the server

Chaos Machine Tax

One of the most valuable benefits is collecting Tax from the Chaos Machine. When any player on the server uses the Chaos Machine, a percentage of the Chaos Jewel invested goes to the guild that owns the castle.

Configurable default rate: 0% to 25%
Collection: Automatic via server system
Distribution: Defined by the Guild Master
Dica: High-population servers can generate hundreds of Chaos Jewels per week through Tax. Controlling the castle on busy servers is extremely profitable economically.

Internal Structure of the Castle

The Land of Trials castle has several zones and exclusive NPCs:

Internal Zones

ZoneFunction
Main GateFirst point of defense/attack
Inner CourtyardSecondary battle zone
Crown Switch RoomDecisive point of the Siege
Treasury ChamberExclusive access for guild members
NPC HallExclusive merchants and blacksmiths

Exclusive Castle NPCs

The owning guild has access to NPCs that do not exist in other maps:

NPCService
Castle GuardSale of Siege equipment
Castle BlacksmithItem upgrades with reduced rates
Castle MerchantRare items and special consumables

Relationship with Other Events

Land of Trials and Castle Siege are interconnected with other important game systems:

Connection with Crywolf

The Crywolf Fortress event has an indirect impact on Castle Siege. When Crywolf fails (meaning players cannot defend the Balgass statue), the boss Balgass is defeated and drops Loch's Feather — an essential item for crafting Wing Level 3.

Crywolf fails → Balgass spawns → Balgass drops Loch's Feather
3x Loch's Feather + Jewel of Creation → Wing Level 3
Wing Level 3 = Wing Level 2 + 3x Loch's Feather + Jewel of Creation (Chaos Machine)
Atenção: The Jewel of Creation required for Wings L3 is dropped by Kundun (Kalima 7), Nightmare (Kanturu 3), and Selupan (Raklion). There is no other source in S6.

Connection with Kalima

The Kalima map (especially Kalima 7) is home to boss Kundun, who drops high-quality items used both in Castle Siege progression and general character advancement. Players farming in Land of Trials frequently complement their sessions with Kalima runs.

PvP Strategies in Land of Trials

As an active PvP zone during and after Castle Siege, Land of Trials requires knowledge of player-versus-player combat mechanics.

Class Comparison in PvP

ClassStrengthsWeaknesses
Blade Master (DK)High defense, knockback resistanceLimited mobility
Grand Master (DW)Massive AoE, group controlLow HP, vulnerable to burst
High ElfPowerful buffs, support damageFragile in direct confrontation
Duel Master (MG)Very high burst damage, speedModerate HP, no healing
Lord Emperor (DL)CMD buff, group leadershipDependent on allies
Dimension MasterDebuffs and unique abilitiesHigh learning curve
Dica: In Castle Siege, balanced compositions with 1-2 tanks (BK), 2-3 DPS (MG/DM), 1 support (HE), and 1 leader (DL) perform better than groups with homogeneous classes.

Advanced Tips

  • Invest in the Castle between Sieges: Use the time between events to upgrade gates and statues with Chaos Jewels.
  • Distribute Tax wisely: A Tax rate that is too high can discourage the use of the Chaos Machine on the server, reducing overall collection.
  • Recruit strategic allies: Allow access to Land of Trials for strong allied guilds — they may help defend during the next Siege.
  • Learn the layout: Land of Trials has narrow corridors that favor AoE abilities. Positioning is crucial.
  • Monitor Crywolf: If Crywolf fails regularly, there will be more Loch's Feathers on the market, making it easier for your guild to craft Wing L3.
Nota: Castle Siege is the only event in MU Online S6 that allows a guild to control a permanent server resource (the Land of Trials map) between events. This makes it the most politically significant content in the game.

Perguntas frequentes

What is the minimum level to enter Land of Trials?

The minimum level is 180, and the character must have completed the 1st Quest (2nd Class). Without these requirements, entry is blocked.

Can any guild participate in Castle Siege?

No. Only guilds registered for the event with at least 1 member equipped with proper Siege items can participate. Registration occurs on specific days before the event.

What happens if my guild loses the castle during Siege?

The guild immediately loses all castle benefits, including Tax income and restricted access to the Land of Trials zones.

Can Loch's Feather be obtained in Land of Trials?

No. Loch's Feather is dropped exclusively by Balgass in Crywolf Fortress, only when the Crywolf event fails.
