What Is Kanturu 3

Kanturu 3, known as Kanturu Abyss, is the third and deepest floor of the Kanturu map in MU Online S6. It is the only location in the game where the boss Nightmare spawns — one of the most demanding PvE encounters in S6, surpassed in difficulty only by Selupan (Raklion) and Kundun himself (Kalima 7).

The map follows a clear vertical progression: Kanturu 1 serves as a mid-range leveling zone, Kanturu 2 raises the bar with elite monsters, and Kanturu 3 represents the pinnacle of that chain — reserved for fully developed characters with endgame gear.

Nota: Kanturu 3 is one of the few S6 maps that combines constant pressure from regular monsters with a scheduled boss respawn. This makes it both a farming zone and a raid destination.

How to Reach Kanturu 3

Navigation to Kanturu 3 is done through internal portals within the Kanturu map. There is no direct teleport to the third floor from Lorencia or any main city.

Lorencia → Devias (NPC Move) → Kanturu 1 (Relics of Kanturu)
Kanturu 1 → Kanturu 2 (internal portal, approx. coords 140, 95)
Kanturu 2 → Kanturu 3 (internal portal, approx. coords 105, 115)
Atenção: Moving between Kanturu floors requires passing through dense monster zones. Characters without adequate resistance will die before reaching the portal. Have at least 5,000 HP before attempting to cross Kanturu 2.

Monsters of Kanturu 3

Kanturu 3 is home to exclusive high-level monsters. The table below shows the main creatures found on this floor:

MonsterLevelApprox. HPApprox. DamageExperience
Mechanical Spider10845,000800–1,200High
Blaze Napin11052,000950–1,400High
Iron Wheel11260,0001,100–1,600Very High
Dark Elf (elite)11570,0001,300–1,900Very High
Nightmare (boss)1203,000,000+3,000–6,000Exceptional
Dica: Iron Wheels and elite Dark Elves in Kanturu 3 are excellent for experience farming with characters above level 380. Spawn density is high and experience per kill is among the best in the game outside of advanced Blood Castle and Devil Square runs.

The Nightmare Boss

Overview

The Nightmare is the resident boss of Kanturu 3. It does not appear anywhere else in S6. Visually, it is a colossal creature with long-range attacks and area-of-effect abilities.

Nightmare's Attributes

AttributeValue
Level120
HP~3,000,000 – 5,000,000 (server-dependent)
Defense~4,000
Minimum Damage~3,000
Maximum Damage~6,000
Attack SpeedHigh
Elemental ResistancePartial (Fire/Ice reduced)
Attack TypePhysical + Magical (mixed)

Nightmare's Abilities

Nightmare has a set of abilities that distinguish it from common bosses:

  • Dark Blast (AoE): Dark energy explosion with a radius of ~5 cells. Deals pure magical damage that bypasses part of physical defense. Estimated damage: 2,000–4,500 per hit.
  • Curse of Darkness: Debuff that reduces the target's defense by ~30% for 8 seconds. Applied randomly to targets within range.
  • Shadow Stomp: Physical area attack in a 3-cell radius around Nightmare. Damage: 3,000–6,000. Slight knockback.
  • Nightmare Gaze: Single-target ability with high defense penetration. Used occasionally when the boss drops below 30% HP.
Atenção: Curse of Darkness is Nightmare's most dangerous ability for groups. If multiple members receive the debuff simultaneously, the chance of a cascade wipe is high. The healer (High Elf) should prioritize debuff removal above all else.

Combat Strategies

To defeat Nightmare consistently in S6, a balanced group should have between 4 and 8 players:

RoleClassFunction
TankBlade Knight / Blade MasterAbsorb melee damage, hold aggro
Melee DPSBlade Knight / Duel MasterDirect damage on the boss
Ranged DPSHigh Elf / Muse ElfDamage from distance, safe from Stomp
SupportHigh ElfAttack/defense buffs, passive healing via elf aura
AoE ControlGrand MasterClear surrounding monsters

Positioning

[Surrounding common monsters]
↓ clear before pulling the boss
[Tank positions Nightmare against a wall]
       ↓ reduces effective Stomp area
[Ranged DPS attacks from 6+ cells away]
       ↓ outside Shadow Stomp radius
[Grand Master uses AoE to keep area clear]
Dica: Positioning Nightmare against a wall or corner of the map reduces the angles of Stomp and Dark Blast. This concentrates incoming damage only to the front of the boss, making the tank's job significantly easier.

Essential Items for the Raid

  • Large (or Greater) HP Potions: Heavy consumption during the fight. Bring at least 200 per character.
  • Antidote / Protection Scroll: To mitigate the Curse of Darkness effect.
  • Elf Buff (ATK/DEF): The Elf's buff increases group defense (~15%) and attack (~15%). Non-negotiable for serious raids.

Nightmare Drops

Nightmare is one of the most valuable endgame drop sources in S6. Below are the confirmed items in its loot table:

ItemRarityNotes
Jewel of CreationRareExclusive drop from high-level bosses
Jewel of ChaosUncommonUsed in Chaos Machine combinations
Jewel of BlessUncommonItem upgrading
Jewel of SoulUncommonItem upgrading
Tier 13+ Items (exc.)Very RareEquipment with Excellent options
Ancient Set PiecesVery RareCeto, Heras, Chrono among others
Jewel of HarmonyRareSocketing special options onto items
Nota: The Jewel of Creation dropped by Nightmare is one of three components required to craft Wing Level 3 in S6. The other sources are Kundun (Kalima 7) and Selupan (Raklion). Without it, crafting the game's most powerful wing is impossible.

Wing Level 3 — Components

Wing Level 2 (any class)
+ 3x Loch's Feather (drops from Balgass when Crywolf FAILS)
+ 1x Jewel of Creation (Nightmare / Kundun / Selupan)
= Wing Level 3 (via Chaos Machine — JoCreation recipe)
Atenção: Loch's Feather ONLY drops from Balgass when the Crywolf event FAILS — meaning Balgass's forces destroy the Crywolf altar. If Crywolf is successfully defended, Balgass does not drop Loch's Feather. This makes it one of the rarest and most contested drops in all of S6.

Comparison: Nightmare vs Other Endgame Bosses

BossMapApprox. HPDifficultyPrimary Drop
KundunKalima 7~8,000,000ExtremeJoCreation, Ancient
SelupanRaklion~6,000,000Very HighJoCreation, Ancient

Red DragonVarious~1,200,000MediumJewels

Nightmare sits third in the S6 boss difficulty hierarchy, making it the most accessible of the three major endgame bosses (Kundun, Selupan, Nightmare). For this reason, it is often the first "true raid boss" that developing guilds manage to defeat, acting as a natural stepping stone toward tackling Selupan and eventually Kundun.

Advanced Tips

Dica: For DL (Lord Emperor) players: The CMD stat increases the Dark Lord's skill damage and the number of rideable soldiers. Bring an offensive mount to the Nightmare raid — it is one of the few situations where DL's combat mount makes a meaningful difference in a group setting.
Dica: For Summoners (Dimension Master): Use Decay and Drain Life against Nightmare. Drain Life in particular has strong synergy against bosses because it restores HP based on damage dealt, significantly reducing potion consumption during the fight.
Nota: In Kanturu 3, common monsters continue spawning during the Nightmare fight. Designate one group member to clear adds regularly — if left unchecked, the tank can become overwhelmed by multiple simultaneous damage sources, leading to unexpected wipes even on otherwise well-managed raids.

Summary

Kanturu 3 is an essential endgame map in MU Online S6, and Nightmare is a boss every dedicated player must learn to fight. It provides access to Jewel of Creation — a critical component for crafting Wing Level 3 — alongside Ancient equipment drops and Tier 13+ items.

The key to success in this raid lies in balanced group composition, correct positioning during the fight, and careful consumable management. With practice, organized guilds can defeat Nightmare consistently, using those JoCreation drops to build the most powerful wings on the server.

Perguntas frequentes

What is the minimum level to enter Kanturu 3?

Kanturu 3 has no explicit level gate, but characters below level 380 will struggle to survive the environment and the Nightmare itself. Level 380+ with a solid VIT or AGI build is strongly recommended.

Yes. Nightmare is one of the primary sources of Jewel of Creation and can drop high-tier equipment (tier 13+), including Ancient set pieces such as Ceto, Heras, and Chrono.

How many floors does Kanturu have?

Kanturu has 3 floors: Kanturu 1 (Relics of Kanturu), Kanturu 2 (Kanturu Ruins), and Kanturu 3 (Kanturu Abyss), where the Nightmare resides.

Does Nightmare have a fixed respawn timer?

In standard S6 servers, Nightmare respawns 12 hours after death, but the exact timing varies by server configuration. Always check your server's announcements or Discord.
