Chaos Goblin Guide: All Combinations and Rates in MU Online

Complete Chaos Goblin guide for MU Online S6: all combinations, success rates, required ingredients and tips to avoid wasting your Jewels.

VI ViciadosMU Team · Updated on 4 jul 2026 · ⏱ 12 min read

The Chaos Goblin is the most important crafting NPC in MU Online. Located in Noria at coordinates 170, 102, he is responsible for transforming ordinary materials into powerful equipment — and for destroying everything if you do not know what you are doing.

This guide covers every combination available in Season 6, with exact success rates, required ingredients, and practical tips to maximize your results.

What Is the Chaos Goblin

The Chaos Goblin accepts crafting recipes in exchange for Zen. Each recipe requires specific ingredients, and the outcome — success or failure — is determined by a probability rate set on the server. On failure, all ingredients are destroyed without exception.

There are two main categories of combinations:

  • Regular: item level upgrades, pet creation, and special weapon crafting
  • Advanced: Fenrir creation, level 380 item combinations, and accessory crafting
Atenção: Never place items you cannot afford to lose inside the Chaos Goblin. Failure destroys all ingredients. Only craft with items you are able to replace.

Level Upgrade Combinations

The Chaos Goblin upgrade system differs from regular upgrading with Jewel of Bless and Soul. Here, you skip level brackets in a single attempt, but the risk is significantly higher.

Upgrade +10 to +12

To raise an item from +9 to +10, then from +10 to +11 or +12:

Item at +9 or higher
→ + Jewel of Chaos x1
→ + Zen (variable by item type)
→ Success rate: 60% (+10), 55% (+11), 50% (+12)

Upgrade +13, +14, and +15

The riskiest upgrades in the game. From +13 onward, the success rate drops sharply:

Target LevelSuccess RateZen Required (approx.)
+1345%7,000,000
+1440%9,000,000
+1535%11,000,000
Atenção: Items at +15 have a failure chance above 65%. Never attempt a +15 with your only copy of a rare item. Always have a backup or enough Jewels to rebuild from scratch.

Special Item Combinations

Dinorant

The Dinorant is a mount obtained exclusively through the Chaos Goblin. It is one of the most useful pets in the game, increasing damage output and enabling flight in certain maps.

10x Loch's Feather (dropped by Horn of Fenrir monster in Tarkan)
→ + Jewel of Chaos x1
→ + 1,000,000 Zen
→ Success rate: 70%
→ Result: Dinorant (options are randomized)

Possible Dinorant options include: +5% damage, +5% defense, or special abilities such as Unicorn (healing) and Pegasus.

Horn of Fenrir and Evolution

Creating the Fenrir is a multi-stage process, with every step handled at the Chaos Goblin.

Stage 1 — Broken Horn:

5x Jewel of Chaos
→ + Fenrir Fragments (dropped by monsters in Tarkan)
→ + 10,000,000 Zen
→ Success rate: 50%
→ Result: Broken Horn

Stage 2 — Horn of Fenrir (basic):

Broken Horn
→ + 3x Jewel of Life
→ + 3x Jewel of Bless
→ + 3x Jewel of Soul
→ + Jewel of Chaos x1
→ + 20,000,000 Zen
→ Success rate: 50%
→ Result: Horn of Fenrir (black)

Stage 3 — Evolving to Gold/Blue/Red Fenrir:

Black Horn of Fenrir
→ + Jewel of Creation x1
→ + Jewel of Chaos x1
→ + 30,000,000 Zen
→ Success rate: 50%
→ Random result: Blue Fenrir (defense), Red Fenrir (attack), or Gold Fenrir (both)
Nota: The Gold Fenrir is the rarest and most powerful variant. It grants both offensive and defensive bonuses and is the only one with a golden appearance. The chance of obtaining each Fenrir type at stage 3 is distributed randomly among the three variants.

Wing Combinations

Wings in MU Online are also crafted through the Chaos Goblin. In Season 6, wings exist at Level 1, Level 2, and Level 3.

Wings Level 1:

ClassWingPrimary IngredientRate
DK / BKWings of DragonJewel of Chaos + mixed item90%
DW / SMWings of HeavenJewel of Chaos + mixed item90%
Elf / MEWings of ElfJewel of Chaos + mixed item90%
DLCape of LordJewel of Chaos + mixed item90%
SummonerWings of DespairJewel of Chaos + mixed item90%
Nota: The Magic Gladiator (MG) does not have Level 1 Wings. This class starts directly with Level 2 Wings (Wings of Storm). This is an exclusive characteristic of the MG in Season 6 — it is not a bug or omission.

Wings Level 2 require more elaborate ingredients:

Class-specific Wings L1 (or a specific substitute item)
→ + Jewel of Chaos x1
→ + Jewel of Creation x1
→ + Excellent item of adequate level
→ + Variable Zen (typically 5,000,000 to 15,000,000)
→ Success rate: 50% to 60% (varies by wing type)

Wings Level 3 are the strongest in Season 6 and require:

Wings L2
→ + Jewel of Chaos x1
→ + Jewel of Creation x1
→ + Excellent item +9 or higher
→ + 30,000,000 Zen
→ Success rate: 30% to 40%

Jewel of Harmony Combinations

The Jewel of Harmony is exclusive to Season 6 and allows extra options to be added to items. The Chaos Goblin uses this jewel in advanced combinations.

Item at +9 or higher (with or without Excellent option)
→ + Jewel of Harmony x1
→ + Jewel of Chaos x1
→ + Variable Zen
→ Success rate: 100% for basic application
→ The Harmony option added is RANDOM

To remove a Harmony option without destroying the item:

Item with Harmony option
→ + Jewel of Chaos x1
→ + Small amount of Zen
→ Success rate: 100% (removes the option, item is kept intact)
Dica: If you received an unwanted Harmony option, you can remove it with 100% certainty using only one Jewel of Chaos. There is no need to destroy the item — simply remove the option and reapply a new Jewel of Harmony until you get the result you want.

Advanced Tips for the Chaos Goblin

Risk management: Never attempt a high-level upgrade without enough Zen for multiple tries. If you only have one copy of a rare item, consider farming or trading for two or three copies before attempting +13 or above.

Crafting order: Always complete your level upgrades before applying Jewels of Harmony or high-value Excellent options. This way, if the craft fails, you lose less total value.

Ingredient farming: Fenrir Fragments drop from monsters in Tarkan and from certain in-game events. Loch's Feather is a drop from the Horn of Fenrir monster. Plan your farming session before you start crafting.

Combining with events: Some server events temporarily increase the Chaos Goblin's success rates. Pay attention to server announcements to take advantage of these bonuses.

Dica: Before any high-risk combination, check the server's current rates in the announcements or official channels. Some Season 6 servers customize success rates, which may differ from the default values listed in this guide.

Perguntas frequentes

What happens if a combination fails?

On failure, every single ingredient is destroyed and the Zen spent is not refunded. High-level combinations like +15 have success rates below 50%, so always assess whether you can afford to lose everything before attempting the craft.

Can I combine Excellent items in the Chaos Goblin?

Yes. In most level upgrade combinations (+10 through +15), the Excellent options on the base item are preserved if the craft succeeds. They are only lost on failure, along with the item itself.

What is the difference between Chaos and Creation in the Chaos Goblin?

The Jewel of Chaos is the mandatory core ingredient in almost every combination and is consumed whether the craft succeeds or fails. The Jewel of Creation is required for more advanced recipes such as Fenrir creation and high-tier item crafting, and is also consumed regardless of outcome.

How does Tier 7 (level 380) weapon crafting work?

Level 380 items require a base item at +9 or higher with an Excellent option, Jewel of Harmony, Jewel of Chaos, and Jewel of Creation. The success rate is approximately 50%, and the resulting item will have a random Harmony option applied to it.
