How PvP works in MU Online: PK, duels and Castle Siege
Understand MU Online's PvP system: the PK status, duels, guild battles and how to do well in player-versus-player combat.
PvP is one of MU Online's souls — from quick duels to guild wars in the Castle Siege. Knowing the rules keeps you from becoming an unwanted PK and helps you win.
The PK system
Killing other players outside proper areas/events accumulates Player Killer (PK) status:
- You get marked (different name color);
- You may lose access to shops and NPCs;
- You have a higher chance to drop items on death.
Duels
You can challenge another player to a consensual duel, without gaining PK status. It's the "clean" way to test builds and measure strength.
Event PvP
Events like Chaos Castle and Illusion Temple are PvP by nature — everyone can attack each other inside, with no PK penalty. Great for practicing combat.
Castle Siege — the guild war
The peak of PvP is the Castle Siege: guilds battle for control of a castle. It requires organization, alliances and well-geared players.
Tips to win at PvP
- Vitality matters: damage is useless if you die first;
- Know each class's weaknesses (the DW hits hard but is fragile);
- Use wings and Excellent items with recovery;
- Positioning beats frantic clicking.
