The Rage Fighter brings a unique design to MU Online: a combo-based martial artist whose damage potential scales entirely with the player's ability to chain skills in the correct sequence. Where Dark Knight is forgiving and straightforward, Rage Fighter rewards practice and muscle memory with dramatically amplified burst damage that no other class can replicate through the combo system.
Rage Fighter class overview
EVOLUTION CHAIN:
Fist Fighter → (1st quest) → Rage Fighter → (2nd quest) → Fist Master
Class characteristics:
→ STR-based melee class (STR drives all physical attack damage)
→ Unique combo system: chaining skills in sequence amplifies total damage
→ High mobility: several skills include dashes, leaps, or repositioning
→ No ranged attacks: all combat at melee range (same limitation as Dark Knight)
→ Self-sustain: some RF skills include HP recovery during the combo chain
→ No soul partner: RF does not have a pet system (unlike Dark Lord's horse/raven)
Class playstyle type: ADVANCED
→ Easy to pick up, hard to master
→ Minimum viable RF: can be played by hitting skills in any order (low damage)
→ High-skill RF: combo chains executed consistently (2-3× higher effective damage)
→ The skill gap between bad and good RF is larger than any other class in MU Online

STAT SYSTEM FOR RAGE FIGHTER:
STR (Strength):
→ Primary stat — drives ALL physical attack damage for RF
→ Combo amplification scales with base STR
→ Never neglect STR: every point below optimal allocation directly reduces combo peak damage
VIT (Vitality):
→ Secondary stat — HP pool for melee range combat
→ RF must be in melee range at all times (same as DK)
→ More VIT than a PvM DK (RF has slightly lower defense scaling than DK)
AGI (Agility):
→ Tertiary stat — attack speed and defense rating
→ Attack speed matters for RF: faster attacks = tighter combo timing windows
→ Do not neglect AGI entirely: some RF skills have cooldowns that AGI reduces
ENE (Energy):
→ Generally low investment for most RF implementations
→ Some servers: specific RF skills scale with ENE (verify your server's skill descriptions)
→ Default recommendation: minimal ENE investment (0-50 base points only)
---
PVP BUILD:
Allocation (example at 1000 total stat points):
→ STR: 500 (50%)
→ VIT: 380 (38%)
→ AGI: 100 (10%)
→ ENE: 20 (2% — minimum requirement for some skills)
Reasoning:
→ 50% STR: sufficient combo damage without sacrificing survival
→ 38% VIT: necessary at PvP level (players burst melee classes; RF needs the HP buffer)
→ 10% AGI: attack speed improvement (speeds up combo chain inputs)
→ The STR/VIT balance may shift as total stat points increase with more resets
---
PVM BUILD:
Allocation (example at 1000 total stat points):
→ STR: 640 (64%)
→ VIT: 280 (28%)
→ AGI: 60 (6%)
→ ENE: 20 (2%)
Reasoning:
→ 64% STR: maximum farming damage; monsters don't burst like players
→ 28% VIT: enough to survive monster AoE without sacrificing farming damage
→ 6% AGI: minimal attack speed investment
→ PvM RF is one of the highest single-target DPS builds in the game at full combo
The combo system
HOW THE COMBO CHAIN WORKS:
Basic principle:
→ RF has 3-4 core combat skills that form the combo sequence
→ Each skill in the chain amplifies the NEXT skill's damage
→ Completing the full chain: total damage equals 200-300% of hitting each skill independently
→ Breaking the chain (wrong order, too slow, CC'd): damage resets to base values
Example combo sequence (S9 RF — exact skills vary by server configuration):
STEP 1 — KICK OF PHOENIX:
→ Initiates the chain
→ Base damage: moderate (serves as the "opener")
→ Visual: a flying kick
→ After this skill lands: must activate Step 2 within ~2 seconds
STEP 2 — DRAGON LUNGE (or Rush):
→ Second in the chain
→ Damage boosted by 25-50% if Kick of Phoenix hit within the window
→ Includes a short dash toward the target (mobility)
→ After this: must activate Step 3 within ~2 seconds
STEP 3 — CYCLONE:
→ Third in the chain
→ AoE spin attack (hits all nearby enemies — useful against groups)
→ Damage boosted by 50-100% if the chain is complete to this point
→ After this: Step 4 if available on your server's version
STEP 4 — WHEEL OF WIND / KILLING BLOW:
→ Final chain skill (not all server implementations have a 4th skill)
→ Highest single-hit damage of any RF skill
→ Damage boosted by 100-200% if the full chain preceded it
→ This is the "finisher" — the combo's payoff hit
Total combo damage vs no chain:
→ Each skill independently: base damage × 4 skills = 4× base
→ Full combo chain: base damage × amplifier at each step = 8-12× base damage equivalent
→ The combo is literally 2-3× more damage than just pressing all four skills out of order
---
PRACTISING THE COMBO:
Step 1: Identify the correct skill order on your hotbar
→ Place the combo skills in order on slots 1-2-3-4 (or whichever is most comfortable)
→ Most RF players use the number keys or hotbar slots in order of the combo sequence
Step 2: Practice on low-HP monsters
→ Go to a map slightly below your level
→ Engage a single monster → practice the full chain until it becomes automatic
→ Focus: hitting each key within the timing window (2 seconds between activations)
Step 3: Assess your chain consistency
→ Are you completing Step 3 before the window closes on Step 2?
→ Is your character visually showing the combo animation for each step?
→ A broken chain looks different from a completed chain (animation changes)
Step 4: Speed up
→ Once timing is consistent: practice at full speed
→ Target: the entire 4-step chain executed in under 3 seconds
→ Expert RF players execute the full chain in 2-2.5 seconds
Step 5: Incorporate mobility
→ RF's dash skills during the chain create movement
→ Practice maintaining direction control while the dash occurs
→ Dashcoming into a group: time the AoE Cyclone to hit multiple enemies mid-dash
---
WHEN TO RESET THE CHAIN:
Reset and restart the chain when:
→ You missed the timing window (more than 2 seconds between steps)
→ You used the wrong skill and broke the sequence
→ You got CC'd (stunned, frozen) mid-chain
Do NOT attempt to continue mid-chain from a broken point:
→ Example: if Step 2 is used without Step 1 having preceded it: no amplification bonus
→ You've wasted a skill cooldown — wait for it to reset and restart from Step 1
---
CHAIN IN PVP (PLAYERS MOVE AND DODGE):
Challenge: Players move unpredictably; monsters stand still
→ The mobility components (dash skills) help track moving targets
→ But human players will actively try to interrupt your chain (stun, knockback)
Anti-interrupt techniques:
→ Initiate Step 1 from max range (Kick of Phoenix has reach)
→ After Step 1 connects: close immediately for Step 2 → don't give space to counteract
→ Against DW (highest interrupt risk): bait their Teleport before initiating the combo
If DW Teleports mid-chain: your Step 3/4 whiffs (target moved)
Wait for DW to Teleport first → commit the chain when they're stationary
Equipment and wings
EQUIPMENT PRIORITIES:
Weapons (STR-primary damage):
→ Look for: Physical Damage Increase Excellent option (+Excellent Damage)
→ Look for: Attack Speed Excellent option (faster combo activation windows)
→ Combo-ready weapon: Excellent Two-Handed weapon with both options above
→ RF can use gauntlets/claws or specific RF weapons depending on server
Armor set (VIT scaling):
→ Look for: HP increase options on armor (Defense % + HP % options)
→ Best S9+ option (if your server has it): Bloodangel set with RF-specific bonuses
→ S6-compatible option (if server runs mixed content): Ancient set with VIT/defense scaling
→ Priority option on armor: 8% Max HP Excellent option (or equivalent on your server's system)
Accessories (resistances for PvP):
→ Rings with Magic or Elemental Resistance for PvP (reduces DW Nova, MG damage)
→ Pendant: Physical Damage increase or HP increase
Wings:
→ Wing L1 (Fist class wing): first priority
→ Wing L2: with "Ignore Defense" or "Damage Increase" option for PvM
→ Wing L3: "Damage Received Decrease 20%" for PvP or "Damage Increase 20%" for PvM
→ Wing L2/L3 are class-neutral: any L2/L3 with the right option works for RF
Pets:
→ Dinorant (mid-game): stat bonus + mobility
→ Fenrir Blue → Red → Black (end-game): highest combat contribution
→ No class-specific pet requirement for RF (unlike Dark Lord who needs Dark Horse)

BEST MAPS FOR RAGE FIGHTER FARMING:
1-100: Standard beginner maps (Lorencia, Devias, Dungeon)
100-200: Lost Tower (4-7), Atlans
200-300: Tarkan 1-2 (RF's AoE from Cyclone step handles groups well here)
300+: Aida 1-2, Kalima 4-6
RF farming advantage:
→ RF's combo with Cyclone (AoE step) can clear monster groups efficiently
→ Less efficient than DW/MG for pure AoE clearing but competitive for single-target DPS
→ Best use: focus-fire farming (pick the strongest available monster → full combo → move on)

Frequently asked questions
Is Rage Fighter available in Season 6?
No. Rage Fighter (also called Kung Fu Fighter or Fist Fighter on some servers) arrived in Season 9. It is NOT available in Season 6. If you are playing on a pure Season 6 private server: Rage Fighter does not exist, and you should choose from the 6 S6 classes (Dark Knight, Dark Wizard, Fairy Elf, Magic Gladiator, Dark Lord, Summoner). If your server has Rage Fighter: it is running content from Season 9 or later, possibly blended with S6 elements. This guide covers Rage Fighter for servers that have it.
What is the combo system and how does it work?
The Rage Fighter's defining mechanic is its combo chain: a sequence of skills that must be activated in a specific order within a tight timing window. Example combo: Kick of Phoenix → Rush → Cyclone → Wheel of Wind. Activating each skill in the correct sequence without breaking the chain amplifies damage with each successive hit. Breaking the chain (wrong skill order, too slow input, getting crowd-controlled mid-combo) ends the amplification and requires restarting from the first skill. Mastering the combo at consistent speed is the entire skill expression of the class.
What stats do I put on Rage Fighter?
PvP build: 50-55% STR, 35-40% VIT, 5-10% AGI, minimal ENE. The STR drives combo damage; VIT is necessary because RF must be in melee range and will take hits; AGI adds attack speed and some defense. PvM build: 60-65% STR, 25-30% VIT, 5-10% AGI. PvM needs less VIT because monsters don't PvP-burst you — pure damage optimization for faster farming. Do NOT invest in ENE unless your specific server's RF implementation has ENE-scaling skills (rare but server-specific).
Is Rage Fighter good in Castle Siege?
Rage Fighter performs well in Castle Siege specifically in the 'Gate assault' role — the combo system's knockback effects can push defenders off the Gate stairs (similar to Dark Knight's Rageful Blow function). In the interior Seal room: RF combo damage is effective for sustained pressure. Weakness: RF has lower HP than Dark Knight at equivalent VIT investment and lacks Soul Barrier scaling as favorably. RF is an alternative frontline option, not a replacement for DK in the standard siege composition.
